but i used to get these alot, and i still do from time to time.
it's probably scabbing and clogging up the hole of your ear or the backing of the earring.
if you seriously can't take the pain it's most likely an ear infection. you should clean them with new ear pericing solution, then contact a doctor if it doesn't help.

it could be your ears having a allergic reaction to the earing type. Sometimes my ears hurt when i wear a certain type of metal.

If you use a certain type of metal that your ear doesn't agree with, that can happen. Or, have you checked if your earring is on too tight? That could make it sore too. Most likely you need a new type of metal. Usually gold doesn't hurt my ears, or silver. That's why I only have like two pairs of earrings. T_T
