When eating/making a meal becomes a hassle, a protein shake is a must. I prefer solid meals of natural foods (i try for 5 meals a day, though sometimes this can be difficult), but usually in the mornings I'm in such a rush that I'm reduced to a liquid form that requires no chewing.
Here's my morning protein shake recipe:
2 cups of non-fat milk
1 tablespoon of all-natural PB
1 cup of raw oats
1 teaspoon of flax-oil
1-scoop of whey (vanilla)
I promise you guys, its reaaaally tasty. Natural sugar in milk combined with the nuttiness of peanuts with the texture of raw oats....Yummy.

"But when it ends and while it ends, something comes, after so much rage, persistence, obstinacy, extravagance; something entirely unexpected and touching in its mildness and goodness. With the motif passed through many vicissitudes, which takes leave and so doing becomes itself entirely leave-taking, a parting wave and call, with this D G G occurs a slight change, it experiences a small melodic expansion. After an introductory C, it puts a C sharp before the D. . .and this added C Sharp is the most moving, consolatory, pathetically reconciling thing in the world. It is like having one's hair or cheek stroked, lovingly, understandingly, like a deep and silent farewell look. . . . " (Mann: 55).

I use the Vanilla costco, it's cheap and has a good amount of protein (though too much cholesterol for me to feel comfortable using it more than once a day).
I have a Nalgene, I throw in two scoops of protein powder, around 8 oz of milk, and 1/2 tablespoon of peanut butter. Just close, shake for about 20 seconds, and down it. The PB really brings it all together, gives it great taste and consistency. Right after a work out I'll usually use water (so it absorbs quicker). When I've run out of water and milk and been hard up for some protein, I've used OJ (sans PB). The OJ one actually comes together pretty well, it tastes like an Orange Julius.
My shakes are more for muscle recovery after workouts rather than meal replacements, so they're pretty deficient in carbs and as substitute meals. I'll have to try whipping out a blender and throwing some oats in there.
