now i just check up on it every now and then...it really wasn't my thing on a "doing" aspect
best way to learn is to get someone to teach you face to face, so they can see what you're doing and what you're not doing
the written word can only do so much
Ali Boulala is cool...a whackjob lol, but he can pull some sick stuff.
Just for the sake of a skateboarding thread...had to throw that out XD
Greg Lutzka is fun to watch too. I actually like the whole Almost team.
Well...almost (no pun intended

K, so in need of advice; I recently crunked up my ancient Element. I need to get a new deck, and I was just wondering if there are any recommendations? My friend rides an Enjoi (Spectrum) and it seems really good, plus Enjois are just pretty good in general but I dunno, Zoo York's got some sick looking decks as well. No Girls, cause those break too easily, thanks. (:

Don't think it ruins ur face, but it did give me bruises on my shins especially when i was practising kickflips and heelflips. Busts the shoes too.
Just tell her it gets ur out of the house and away from the computer

You must not be in college yet.
Unless you are going into professional skating, doing tricks isn't too important. It's also a risk factor getting into major scraps and stuff. I tried, but I couldn't even ollie. It wasn't really my thing.
I just stick to my long board

I have the worst balance. Sometimes, when I jump from one place to another (not even two feet away) I sometimes stumble. It's gonna be hard for me to learn...
