They're selling discounted BART tickets to High School students but what about the struggling college students in the bay who live on one end of the BART line but have to go to school at the other end of the BART line?
It's even hard for those in the city who go to school in the city but don't have a car. I live near downtown but am going to CCSF and it's a struggle to be taking the bus from here to school and it's a pain to have to pay for an adult bus fare, bart ticket, another bart ticket and another bus fare to go home. I also work in the mission and take the BART there so it's basically the same.
$45 dollars for a 1 month fast pass IS helpful but it's also a lot. Some kids go to school full time and don't even have much money to be paying for a ticket of that price. T_T
Sign the petition if you agree that they should make discounted tickets for BART for college students.
(I hope this is alright to put in here. haha I'm always cautious about what topics to post.)
I was given the idea to post this here even though I put it in the West Coast section...
Maybe because it's more directed to College kids anyways... And not much college kids take a look in the West Coast section to begin with. (from my understanding)
