Really, it doesn't feel like glass. More like plastic. Actually, you don't feel anything after it leaves your fingertips and into your eyes.
It's not that hard to put in.. Although it might make you feel more queasy because if you screw up, you really do screw up.
It doesn't take that long to put it in once you practice putting them in and taking them off.
It takes a bit more time taking them out though. You get two options - blinking them out or using a plunger. You probably need a few more seconds to actually make sure it doesn't like fall down or something.
Hard contacts are pretty okay once you get used to them.

the first couple times wearing them are HELLISH!! but then afterwards, you dont notice them anymore like soft contacts.
its not any harder to put them in or take them out. i actually think its easier. i tended to have a harder time keeping my soft contacts in place after i put them in. and using the plunger is uber cool.
the only thing is, i think my eyes have some crappy reaction to hard contacts or something cuz my contacts randomly start irritating me every once in a while. sometimes it goes away after awhile, other times im actually forced to take them out. HOWEVER, i think this only me cuz i know plenty of ppl who say their hard contacts have never irritated them
if you have bad eyesight and they seem to get worse, then i suggest hard contacts to control it. thats the only reason i got mine.

to answer your question, the first time when I had it, it took me like half an hour to put one for each eye (I wasn't used to it) and it is not hard to take it out. Just make sure you wash your hands thoroughly. I never have soft contacts so I can't really answer your next question. Once you put in your contacts, you can't really feel anything because you have to put some gel on it first before you actually put it in your eyes. SO basically you just get this 'cold' feeling. It took me probably three months to get used to it. I've had it for four and a half years now.

I actually asked my doctor to switch me because I stopped wearing soft contacts because my eyes were drying out within a few hours of putting them on.
They aren't THAT bad. Comparatively, they are quite uncomfortable the first few days but the adjusting time isn't too unbearable. The feeling.....its like having a dirty soft contact?? Or a soft contact that's suppose to be thrown out soon.
Putting them in is exactly the same as soft contacts expect they aren't quite "self-centering" so you have to stick it right on your pupil or you'll have to feel around for it and manually move them back to the centre of your eye.

She says soft are WAY more comfortable for her, but her doctor said that if she doesn't want her vision to get worse, then she should stick with hard.
And thats the truth, cause my eyesight is dropping every few months D:

I used to buy lenses randomly and I once bought hard lenses it scratched my left eye cornea! and don't ask me about the pain.. it was unbearable!
and when I asked the optometrist why.. he said that all lenses depend on the Elongation of the eye... so.. that's why there are different kinds of lenses
so maybe hard lenses are the best kind of lenses that'll suit your eyes..

I tried hard contacts before but i never got any gel to put on my eye before the contacts. It hurts like hell for me and would get used to it for a couple of hours and then it would hurt again. I quit after like a month, i know total waste of money but i really couldn't stand it, espeicially since i have extremely dry eyes.
