How Do You Put Subtitles In Videos? .srt files

What program do you use to put subtitles in videos that uses RealPlayer and Windows Media Player?

You want to get directvobsub to do the subtitling for you. It can put the subtitle overlay in your videos

How do you put the subtitles into the videos? The program is a bit confusing.

U mean hardsubs (where the subs become one with the movie) or softsubs? (where the movie and the sub file is seperate)

I have soft subs and I want to put it in the video as one file.
