What are the features shared by all Bacteria? Fungi? Protista? What are the important contributions to the environment of each?

i know that some bacteria are autorophs and some are heterotrophs, protists are the same with bacteria or they can be both hetero and auto, and fungi are heterotroph.. so maybe the commonality could be that they are heterotrophic?
i'm not sure about the contributions...
