how did you guys think the ap was this year?
i don't know why but i think i totally bombed the essays..
i mean i know i should have studied more but i really didn't have time.. (well i guess that was my fault)
i think i totally bombed the DBQ..
i know i'm stupid.. but that topic.. is the only thing i didn't study for..
because i just thought to myself..
why would they put that as a DBQ?? okk stupid me..
the other essays.. i was completely confused.. i mean i knew the information but i didn't
know how to incoporate it back to my thesis..
i hope i get at least a three..
cuz i don't want to disappoint my parents..
okk.. so i'll listen to your stories now..
if anyone took their ap last year and had the same problem as me..
but got a okay score.. any encouragements?
i know it's over but now i'm worried for my score..

when i saw the topic of the dbq i gasped cuz it was unpredictable to me.. i didnt even review for the topic.. i could only remember general stuff. i dont know if i have enough outside info but i used all sources except one but my dbq was pretty long and i didnt stumble. just wrote w/o stopping which is a first.. i feel that i analyze every source. but i dont know if my overall knowledge regarding the v. war was accurate. goodness i forgot to mention the tet offensive, vietnamization and all the other good info.. i was confused about northern & southern vietnam.. i was trying to figure which was vietcong.. and i mentioned the cold war and containment of communism. i was confused.. i did mention lbj's great society.. high military spending.. civil rights movement & dr. martin luther king jr.. gulf of tonkin resolution (but all i could remember was that it made the war unpopular in the minds of the american public).. i also mentioned counterculture and hippies w/ their peace. ROFLLLLLLL. what else? drafting of the youth.. i remember my friend sitting next to me gave me a tip about this guy who knew the war was hopeless but kept it to himself.. i believe mcnorman? or something like that.. but i only used the tip in my conclusion..
i chose #3 and #4.. i dont know how i could write #2 since i disregarded reviewing for anything american indian related..
#3 was super easy.. market revolution was emphasized by my teacher and it was just logical.. i mean even if you didnt remember very well about the market revolution you could come up w/ something.. i mentioned industrialization.. urbanization in northeast (slums, lack of sanitation).. immigration.. (nina, know nothing party), textile mills (the lowell girls later replaced by irish immigrants) due to eli whitney's interchangeable parts. the south.. rise of king cotton w/ eli whitney's invention of cotton gin.. rebirth of slavery... railroad construction.. sectionalism.. later slavery issue.. compromise of 1850.. free soil.. and all that jazz..
#4 was ok.. my thesis and conclusion was that in the end the 'new south' was not a reality.. more like an updated version of the old south as the worst elements/values of southern society didnt change at all and arguibly the reconstruction was a failure.. (if you think about the period time given.. i think it was 1877 till the time of wwi. this essay was rather short and i finished early. i feel that i didnt have that much info to give.. the essay was pretty short. i mentioned 80 years of segregation/jim crow laws.. redeemer gov't.. white supremacists.. sharecropping system. black codes.. prevalent racism and prejudice.. i was confused though as to whether kkk was still active after reconstruction.. and whether redemeer gov't was still applicable after the compromise of 1877.. basically i picked politics and race relations. race relations didnt change.. politics didnt change very much.. but when i talked about politics i repeated some of the things i talked about in my paragraph on race relations.. ahh i also remembered to mention the supreme court case of plessy vs ferguson (spelling? lol) of separate but equal allowed..
i almost used all of the pages of the answer booklet.. except one. whoooaa i wrote a lot!! i finished early.. which was incredible b/c i always ran out of time before..
i didnt know there were 2 versions of the apush test. my friend sitting next to me was like 'wtf. mini cooper'. hahah
last year for ap euro one essay was super short and i bs'ed all over it.. i was longing for a 4 but in the end i got a 5! but i did think the m/c was easy.. so yea..

Well I omitted 10 questions. I was really confident that I was gonna pass but when I got to the writing portion i changed my mind. I'm still scared. I'm gonna be pissed if my friends that are good at writing pass. I'm so sad. I still hoped I passed. I really studied for this exam, too much that I don't even want to study for the AP Psychology one that is on Tuesday

the DBQ was okay for me, since usually all the information is in front of your face.
the FRQ's i struggled on because i barely reviewed those sections. ):
i'm just glad it's over but score is eeeek.
KATE SPADE bag --- DOONEY&B satchel --- HCO jacket

I left 7 blank on the MCs, most of them are about the authors. I mean come on -___- !
Otherwise, it wasn`t as hard as I thought it would be .
DBQ was a breeze. Completed your typical 5 basic paragraph, tons of Acts, dates, major figures. Hopefully I`ll get a good score on that.
The FRQs, on the hand, damn that was utter hell. I did 3 + 4 . Only did Intro, 2 body paragraphs, and conclusion.
It was weak, plus I almost fell asleep -__- . I completely BS`d.
Hopefully I excelled at the MCs & DBQ to make up for the FRQs.
I`m aiming for a 3, HAH.
I was so tired / sleepy when I took it though. I`m pretty sure my friends were too.
Right at the start of the FRQ, we started playing "Floor is Lava."
Silly attempt to keep us up ; whoever touches the floor dies in the hand of the lava monster .
I practically had 10 minutes left. So I started writing to the graders, LAWL.
I left them notes like "Good luck reading my handwriting, my teachers absolutely loves dwelling upon the difference between my A's and U's."
And I left them a long paragraph about how someday I would love to grow up and be just like them; grading hundreds and thousands of AP papers.
In the end, I bid them a "fare the well, good luck and god bless" in bubble letters surrounded by a heart .
Oh,
I AM SPARTA, anyone?

i was so glad my teacher had a review session the day before the ap exam about agricultural improvements.
a few days after the exam, my friends discussed the mc and frqs. i wrote about different topics for the frq and got different answers on the mc. they had As in the class and i didn't so i was freaking out thinking i bombed the test. turns out i got a 5 so try not to worry! i'm sure you all did fine.

also i thought all of the FRQs for other schools not in california was easier..
i actually knew what they were asking..

I did #3 and #5 for free response (did anyone else do those???). My market revolution one was freaking short - only two pages. But I went on about Hoover vs. FDR and the Great Depression vs. The New Deal on #5. But I didn't cover Truman, because I forgot he was after FDR.
I left 6 blank on multiple choice. Usually I answer them if I can eliminate it down to two, but if I have three that I'm unsure of, I leave it blank.
All in all, I'm a lot more confident about this year's APUSH test than last year's WHAP test.

^My friend's taking hers on the 22nd too, my stupid school ordered one less for our class and it happened to be her D:
Anyway I thought the MC was alriiight, I left 6 blank. The DBQ was so easy for me, we never went over anything AFTER the 1960s in class so that war was still fresh in my mind
