#1. Colleges generally have different standards. A school such as the University of Chicago puts lets emphasis on test scores than the University of California system. Test scores are the easiest thing to recover from, but are vital in most decisions because it's a common way of comparing different candidates.
#2. It is true certain majors are "easier" to get into statistically. Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences' admissions is something like 17 percent compared to Engineering which is near (or maybe even slightly over) 30 percent (these stats were from the Class of 2011 I believe).
But if your skill is not in math and sciences and you apply anyways to Engineering over the College of Arts and Sciences you will do yourself more harm. And besides in some schools it's easy to do transfers within majors (I know Northwestern for one is easier than most), but do what you like.
#3. Not sure what the question is, some scholarships are strictly academic based, others include consideration of majors, some are specifically for obscure majors, or just for broad disciplines. It all depends.
#4. The thing I've always heard is, never lie, but you aren't forbidden from showing things in the best light possible. But NEVER LIE during the college admissions process because it puts you in jeopardy of losing your admissions (or if you are able to hide it long enough, and then get caught, expulsion)
Hope this all helps.

1.) how much of the sat score counts towards getting into a collegein my experience, not much. there are a lot of people with lower SAT scores that got into colleges that i didn't
2.) is it true that if a person applies for a different major that is less popular instead of the one they actually want (lying basically) they could get into the school more easily and then once they are in the could switch as much as they want?
i'm not sure about this one. the colleges claim that they don't base admissions on major choices but you never know. i got rejected with undeclared for irvine
3.) scholarships? so it doesn't have to be related to your major? it could be like anything in the world..?
yeah it could be anything. there are a lot of random scholarships you can apply for just based on experiences, academics, or pure luck.
4.) i know that you has to be truthful during interviews and stuff..
but are there people that just make up stuff just so that the interviewer would like you
maybe there are some people that make up stuff, but i wouldnt plan on making up a far-fetched lie just in case they do decide to research it x_x

1.) how much of the sat score counts towards getting into a college
This varies for different schools. I think for research universities [public schools and the major private schools] SAT scores matter a lot more, but for liberal arts universities/colleges they don't as much. But your SAT score can make a certain amount of difference in your getting in or not. It's just a good idea to do your best anyways.
2.) is it true that if a person applies for a different major that is less popular instead of the one they actually want (lying basically) they could get into the school more easily and then once they are in the could switch as much as they want?
This is true to a certain point. If you can clearly qualify for their school in general, than yes. But you also have to consider that if you want to switch majors later on, it doesn't mean you'll get it for sure because you might not end up qualifying for that or there isn't any room for you.
3.) scholarships? so it doesn't have to be related to your major? it could be like anything in the world..?Um, not sure what you're asking but yes you can get a scholarship for pretty much anything and it doesn't have to relate to your major unless the scholarship specifically says that you have to be of a particular major.
4.) i know that you has to be truthful during interviews and stuff..
but are there people that just make up stuff just so that the interviewer would like you
I would stick with honesty is the best policy, but I guess it is true that you can fake your way through an interview. But a lot of what they're looking for is also your personality, character, what they seem to see in you instead of just simply the answers to your questions. I would think they can tell who's lying pretty well... I'm sure a lot of them have been interviewers for a while.
