I have to do a paper on the partitioning of india and pakistan under our british literature curriculum, meaning i have to involve the british involvement into my essay (into the thesis)... i dont really understand their main impact on the PARTITIONING, help?

What was it.. India (before they were partitioned) was a colony under the british crown.
during the 'revolution' (guess you can call it that) in about.. what? 1947? led by Gandhi,
the indians gained their independence.
of course, after that there was a bit of a squabble between the muslims and the hindus.
and it was either the UN or the british that helped create Pakistan to prevent further turmoil.
merr. a bit murky in my memory, but hell ^^; at least I remember somethin of my history.
just google it up.
