I can qualify for a phone upgrade in a few weeks, so I have a few I'm keeping my eye on. Opinions please? (Bell phones only.) Bell is my provider.

I do not have a preference between candybar, slide, nor flip.
I use my phone mostly for surfing the web (wierd, I know; Not so much for texting but it's in the same boat.)
I am happy with a 1.3 megapixel camera.

I have a thing for qwerty phones, hence 2 of them are. The last one is a bit ambiguous for now ( it is released by Bell on the 16th (in 5 more days) ). I also have a thing for Samsung, but I'm willing to be swayed.

The Vantage is the sexiest, and I know some that has it (with alltel) and they say its really good. I'd that one. The rumor is good, but everyone has it, and the other one is really hard to type on.

Thanks guys. So I'm going to take the Samsung out of the running. I heard it was really hard to type on. (Plus, somebody at my schook already has it) Where I come from, (Victoria, on Vancouver island) nobody has the Rumour yet. Now I am split between a practical Rumour, and an attractive Vantage. How is the functionality of the Vantage?

[edit] added HTC 6800. Has anybody had any experience with a smartphone? Sexy? Or retarded?

I would have to say Rumor or the HTC one. Rumor is good for just calls and texting. W/ smart phones you can do a heck more (check email, surf net, etc.) plus texting. So it all depends on what you want on a phone. I wouldn't recommend the Vantage if you're a big texter. Qwerty boards are so much easier imo. :]

I would either say the vantage or the HTC since you did say that you mostly use the phone for the web not so much on text. I don't like the rumor so much but that's just me.

I say the HTC. Bigger screen and qwerty. Just the right things to help you surf and text.
