Laptop Adapter Beeping?

Just today, the adapter for my laptop (Toshiba A100 TA4) started beeping briefly -- it wasn't extremely loud, but it was kind of high pitched. I unplugged it and it stopped, but once I plugged it back in, it started again. I left it unplugged for ~30 mins and plugged it back in now and it's fine...but does this mean there's something wrong it?

Hmm very odd. It didn't sound like a sound it was designed to make right? Like a watch alarm have a clear beep sound, this was more weird sounding right?
Im suspecting it was just weird power, like your outlet was not outputting the correct amount of power or your laptop battery was really low and it caused it to be oddly imbalanced. When that happens sometimes parts inside the adapter vibrate and can cause buzzing sounds. Im not quire sure if thats your issue but im hoping it is because that would be normally okay.
