So, I've been wondering for a really long time now. How many calories do I have to consume per day to maintain a healthy weight? I'm 110 lbs right now and I'm about 5'3" I'm thinking of gaining another two pounds or just staying the same weight. The thing is, I'm not sure how many calories I have to take in per day. 1200 calories?
Thanks in advance, I hope I make sense.

it's not just calories
you also have to watch what content & how much of it you consume
& 1200 calories is definately not enough

I'm in Health now, and it says in order to maintain a healthy weight, you should burn off the equivalent of how many calories you intake.

isn't it like
~2000 (max. for maintaining weight) a day?
something like 500 calories more or less depending on if you wanna gain or lose weight

try researching on your BMR. basal metabolic rate. its the calories you need to consume if you stayed in bed all day ;P

That's what I thought, too.
Edit: How strange.
Edit2: Nevermind, you can't get it calculated if you're under 20-years old -- how lame.

Hey, there are some websites which like, help figure out your total intake and how much you burn off.
There's this one, which isn't too detailed, faster to do: http://www.my-calorie-counter.com/Calorie_Calculator.asp
Here's a better one: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
This one is really, really detailed, but you probably need to count how much you exercise to do it probably
(haha, thats why it didnt work for me =) ) http://www.stevenscreek.com/goodies/calories.shtml

Imo, don't listen to what people tell you. Just consume as much as you want. Your body will tell you when it has enough.
