There seems to be a problem with my Sansa.
At first, the Sansa kept on stopping/freezing while I watch a video on it.
So, I turn it off and then let it rest. It only happens when I watch vids.
However, my cousin, being the irresponsible one and sleeping while listening to the music in the VIDEOS section.
And when she woke up in the morning, she turned it off.
But when she try to turn it on again, the screen is pitch black but the analog/moving white clear thing is neon blue.
I'm just wondering if anybody know how to fix this problem?

It looks like this but the screen is pitch black like it's not turned on

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

This model of the sansa is not very stable. I had one and it would always crash on me or have some kind of functional problem.

Try this link:
http://www.fixya.com/support/t130292-sandi...set_whole_thing

Read the different solutions before trying them. Solution 3 always worked for me.

my friend has the exact same sansa and model. it works fine for her and i listen to music on it sometimes. she's also showed me pictures and played videos, no problems there. she even spilled juice on it and the wheel still works. idk, electronics seem to frustrate the hell out of all of us. biggrin.gif

I guess somewhat.
HOWEVER! I will never buy a sansa again, I had the e280...and omg...
Ok my first problem was that when i plugged in my computer it automtically updated the newest firmware...deleted all my songs and the language is hebrew.
I was like wtf. After 2 months the sound quality kept on reducing and reducing...i dropped it ont he floor one day and a while screen pops up.
The display screen is now broken. However it lasted me 8 months so i decided to switch to ipod because after i found out it wass broken...i left it in my bag and it was stolen lol.

Now I use a ipod nano, I like it. sleek and sexy. I might have to return the nano and get myself a touch instead...4gb isn't cutting it lol.

Mine went through the washing and drying cycle in my pants. What a trooper. I only use it in my car though and the P2 everywhere else.

Dude... I did the same thing.
I used to regret buying my e280 until it survived the washer and dryer.
Hey it looks beat up and has a huge crack running right down the middle of the screen, but it's a warrior!

Don't hate on my sansa! I love those things. If it freezes, just plug it back in your computer/laptop for a few seconds and it'll be back to normal.. unless it runs out of battery, just leave it there for longer. I've had mine for at least a year and half and I've had no problems!

mine its 1 year & 10 months already. smile.gif

^LOL, I remember when I first bought it- when it FIRST came out...(Had the 2GB one) and people thought it was a copy of an iPod and what was it and such. Haha. It's a warrior alright, but the problem about the Sansa- is that it's very unstable..and the first one I bought- it didn't work, so I had to exchange it, and I think I had to exchange 4 times. LOL. Probably cause of the issues that kept popping up, such as some weird white screen popping up...always freezing on me..etc. After it was stolen in the girls change room, I decided to buy the 3rd Generation iPod Nano instead, I love it <3 :] And it NEVER freezes on me :]

I have same mp3
and it happened to me too.
-while watching video the screen will be blur(black lines) but the lights are on
-if you try to download video. same thing will happen and the media converter will disappear

I called the customer service, tell them the problem.
they dont know what to do
and because I have the service plan
they just take the mp3 and gave me a gift certificate. same amount plus tax as the mp3. (i got it from the mail today)
Sorry if I didn't help
because I think the problem is in the hard drive

I think if you dont have the insurance thing you can send them the mp3 and they will fix it for you but you will pay for the service
