I'm aware it was made after Sinner but my point was that I'd rather Bae's songs only have his version, no matter if the others are recorded before or after he does. I know that a song having more than one version doesn't make much of a difference but I still think he deserves to have more 100% exclusive music.
I also want to make clear I don't dislike any of the versions I listed and wasn't trying to pass this as news (it's all old info after all), it was just part of my wishful thinking about his solo work. =)

There will never be 100% exclusive music in the terms you put it as. There will always be someone to remix/remake/redo/parody any work if its good bad or not. Just how the world works

I'm not sure how you got that from what I wrote. There's a clear difference in my mind between someone making a remix/parody/etc of a song from another official version of the same song being recorded and performed by another group/singer entirely. They are different practices and even if they weren't I'm not against any of them as I said over and over. Far from it, I like good sampling work and I love remixes. I'm quite aware of how the world works with this too. "100% exclusive" was just a non literal way of putting it, he'll never completely "own" any music as more people will most likely also hold a share of the rights (which isn't that relevant either) but that wasn't what I was getting at.
To each their own. Whatever are our expectations, I'm sure we all agree in hoping his next solo will be a great piece of work.

Such a cutie pie.
He was awkward back then. lol.
Looking forward to his solo project.
November seems so far away. I thought it was gonna come out in October. I'm WAITING. I feel giddy when I think about it. xD
thats lame.; seriously.
I think YB will have more amazing songs than him though :] I hope to see more Kush and Teddy!
It's just the news reporters making that kind of hype.
I don't think it's really clashing on each other's solo, especially if Taeyang is coming out in November. (even if he comes out late October, I don't think it's anything like what they're trying to make it sound like). GD would practically almost be done by then.

And I love that Shaun is working with Taeyang. Shaun and Aimee
Even if GD and YB go head-to-head, I think it would be interesting, maybe they could collaborate ohgoodness I'm sincerely hoping that GD is featured on one of YB's new tracks, imagine how amazing that would be!!!!

Until Whenver; iVIP

I wrote earlier that after listening to Big Bang’s 3rd album, I felt as if Dong Young Bae was not acknowledged of his full potential. I did not continue any further, because I wanted to find a solid evidence to actually sit down and write something about it. I’ve been searching for “the clue” ever since (and thus waited for their 1st album).
My belief is that we should continue our already heated discussions about Dong Young Bae. As the guy who wrote below me pointed out, I think it is pretty safe for us to anticipate a sensational, new kind of a vocalist in the Korean music industry. Why? Is it because he sounds like a black person? No. We should all agree that we’ve had long, exhaustive discussions pertaining to this particular subject matter.
From what I’ve been gathering from his vocal capabilities, Dong Young Bae’s greatest strength is his style of singing, and its versatility. Someone pointed out before that (likely as a joke) Dong Young Bae had all three Ganji, in terms of his groove, singing style, and the colour of his voice. This is precisely what I’m trying to say. I wasn’t a hundred percent sure until their 3rd single, but with this 1st album (by Big Bang), I am entirely convinced – of what? That he changes with each song – his voice, expression and even his singing style. I think this is quite impressive for an 18 year old.
I don’t believe that we should be concerned about the fact that not a great deal of people is aware of his skills, or Dong Young Bae himself. While I understand that such concerns have been reflected in their first album, that Dong Young Bae’s parts have been alarmingly reduced parts in it, I just want to take a break and discuss about his ability and potentials. Let’s hold onto other issues for a brief minute.
The reason why I have come to this conclusion is because now I am thoroughly confident of his abilities. As you guys have (and stood correctly) pointed out, Dong Young Bae did not even sing that many verses – but I could not help but to smile upon listening to the tracks. My ears instinctively picked up his voice and presence that I did not even have to try to realize that it was his parts.
Mixed artists like Park Il-Joon, In Sooni, or Yoon Mi-Rae appealed to the public by showcasing their innate colours of the black people; while artists like Kim Kun-Mo, Park Jin-Young, Lee-Jung, or Na-Ul appealed to the public by adding in a twist of Korean flavor. Disregarding any minor uncertainty in my speculations, I think it is pretty safe to say that Dong Young Bae is our ultimate, unified solution of the two categories.
Not just the tone of his voice, or his vocal strengths – the way he dances or his style of his singing reminds us of every bit of the soulfulness or even elements of funk that is rarely found in Korean artists.funkiness, jazziness, or even dramatic vivacity that has shone through in each of his songs – I believe that I hold a pretty solid ground in my confidence. And that he conveys this “black factor” effortlessly without even a hint of artificiality as a Korean person born and raised in Korea truly strikes me. His deep soulful expressions, his rhythmical sense, his rich groovy style,
Some argue that Dong Young Bae should follow Omarion or Usher’s paths, or Park Nam-Jung’s or Bi (Rain)’s, or Eric Benet, Sisqo, or Bobby Valentine’s paths for his voice tones, or some even argue to use his sex appeals and follow Jodeci, D’Angelo or Prince’s paths. Look at how much hopes and expectations we have for him– myriad of listeners are counting on this 18 years old kid. So let us not overlook his abilities and potentials already – even though Big Bang’s 1st album had disappointed me a great deal, and even though I feel as if there is still that missing piece of the complete set that I had initially wanted to search for, I could not help but to chuckle in awe of his eloquent style even in a normal dance vocalization or shouting.
He’s a big one, for sure. And he’s not like any other singers; he has the voice, and he knows how to use his voice in his own unique, groovy way. So, what is there to worry about? What’s more important is that he draws the listeners in, and makes them want to concentrate – it is rare for a singer to often have all of these qualities.
The ability to draw the listeners in is probably the most important and hardest quality for any singer to have. Of course, you cannot possibly expect to draw the listeners in with a mediocre, average voice, or even plain singing style. It is not that Dong Young Bae’s vocals are particularly “tough” – instead he sings it with fluid, eloquent vibe. Take his vocal parts in this album for example, and pay a close attention to his high notes. Normally, one would expect a huskier voice tone in high notes, but Dong Young Bae’s is clear, and even refreshing. What’s more interesting though, is that this clear voice is distinctively different from his notes in lower register bass notes. If he were to release an album of his own, then it could very well be possible that the style of his voice may differ from the first to the end.
I can’t help but to praise Dong Young Bae’s ability to draw the listeners into his own distinct singing style and expression at such an age and experience. If he were to develop and build a deeper, richer depth of voice and sophisticated skills, I am certain that Dong Young Bae will become an artist capable of many versatile genres, forms, and style. So sit back, don’t fuss and worry about his future – just appreciate this privilege that’s been given to us to listen to his songs and watch him dance.

this article is long but it does pin point a lot of things DYB fans enjoy about Taeyang.
Big Bang in Elle Girl Korea: October 2009 – TaeYang
“I’m not really interested in branching out into other fields.”
Unlike the other members who have been busy in various areas other than music, TaeYang was not easy to meet. While the other members were busy branching out into new fields, such as variety shows, TV acting and musical, all he cared about was “music.”
It was so good to see him again and he had some good news for us – he’s working on his second solo album! Although his first single from his first EP enjoyed notable success sweeping the charts, there was obviously much more he wanted to do. He is working hard on his second album both because of his own desire to make a better album and his sense of obligation to his fans.
“I’ve been working with Teddy since early this year to work on the type of music I wanted to make. I hadn’t specifically intended to make songs for my second album but the collaboration naturally turned into one for my second. My first was an EP so it is appropriate that I make a full album this time. As much as I want it to be perfect, I will take time to make it perfect.”
However, today TaeYang struggles over a problem even “Teddy-hyung” cannot help him with. He had been so engrossed with recording, he forgot that it was his mummy’s birthday yesterday. “My mother sent me a text message to ask me if I could come home to have dinner. I was too busy to reply. What do I do now?”
Having been such a mature adult throughout the interview, he now has an embarrassed look of a child. He may have to forgo being a good, dutiful son for a while. Anyone who has talked to him even once would know immediately that he is a sunny and healthy young man at heart like the sun. What makes TaeYang the artist he is is his passion for music and he will continue to be a “great musician” as long as he has that.

I want to give my thoughts on this article. When I first heard Taeyang, it was in the "Fools Only Tear" video. I heard him sing and I was blown away. As an African-American living in New York aka the birth of Hip Hop, I found it unbelievable for a Native Korean to have so much soul in his voice and sing so beautifully. He has soul as if he was an African-American. I first saw his attire and the cornrows and I thought..."he is so copying Omarion." However, when I heard Big Bang other songs, I noticed that it was his verses that I was looking forward to hearing. When I saw Big Bang videos, It was his dance moves that I was watching. And I notice the more videos the came out with the more Taeyang improved. When his first mini-album came out, I quickly listen to the album. It was a good album but to me the songs that stood out and showed his true vocal capabilities were "Baby, I'm Sorry" and "Make Love". Besides being my two favorite songs out the album, he really showed his emotions in those songs as if he was really feeling it.
My friends listened to his songs and were stunned and amazed. The way he dresses, the way he sings, the way he dances.....it is his unique way of showing off his musical influences. He is very unique and talented. I believe he will succeed at whatever he wants to do. I look very forward to his new album. Taeyang Hwaiting!!!

Yang HyunSeok left a message on YG Entertainment official homepage on 24th September saying, “Mid-October, TaeYang will be releasing a digital album and MV to comeback title ‘Where U At’.:
But the date for TaeYang’s full length 2nd album release has yet been confirmed.
According to YG, TaeYang will be promoting for a longer period of time as compared to his 1st solo album activities. YG also revealed that they will take on a multi-angle approach to TaeYang’s promotions this time round.
He added, “The filming for TaeYang’s ‘Where U At’ MV will take place this weekend (3rd week of September), together with director Seo HyunSeung.”

his promotion period was extremely short. We are trying to come up with ideas for longer promotion period.
It is being planned that the song will be released with a music video as digital media first. The estimated date for
Tae Yang’s full volume cd is still to be announced. I will keep you posted about Tae Yang soon.
