I'm glad he's starting to go up in the rankings. I know some don't care for rankings, but personally I feel like the amount of dedication and work he puts in to his album and performances, should be reflected in some way. No one can deny, that being high on the charts would reassure any artist.

yea i agree with you. the fact that Taeyang is working so hard makes me wish that he can get recognition in some way. its really brave of him to pursue the music that he really wants in the Kpop industry. how many popular Korean R&B songs are there?? not even a few. and i really admire him for breaking the norms of what the Kpop industry expects. rankings does not mean everything, but it will surely assure YB a little to know his songs are well received, especially when he co-produces the song this time round. that's why i really hope his songs will rise further up,to encourage him in pursuing his own music style. but it will not be an easy process, and i think YB knows it too. what we international fans can only do is to purchase his album when it comes out

that aside, i really LOVE his perf today. his dancing is SICK!! i love how sleek he is. that's some complicated moves and he managed to pull it off so well, and be so in sync with the other dancers. my only complaint was that it really does not feel like a comeback stage. i was expecting some piano playing haha. and that his hat was covering half his face! i want to see his pained expression in Wedding Dress. i think that will add to the impact of the sadness of the song.

the generic Kpop fans would most likely not enjoy this performance, coz as good as it was, it really do not have the "wow" factor. but YB performed this for the people who truly loves his music. i'm a sucker for R&B, so i be supporting him till the very end regardless of how well he may do in Korea

i read from allkpop that besides asking the fans not to cheer for him and to only focus on his performance, YB also asked the cameramen to show less of the audience and more of him so that viewers can see the whole choreography. such a perfectionist though i'm kinda bumped that he will only be performing once a week. apparently promoting as long as possible =/= performing more often


and GD is such an awesome friend. haha dragging Seungri along even. Seungri really got to support his hyungs more XD i wonder why Dae and Top did not make it though. i hope there be pics of GD and sleepy Seungri with YB backstage soon haha

I'm totally agree with what monVIP said earlier. Why on Earth people would want him to be someone else? It means they're more interested in glossy image, fake character not in the music and strong messages hidden behind his songs/lyrics/dancing. He does what he loves the most (he's singing R'n'B and dancing like a real street dancer. He's not making music for everyone, he's making music for people who admires real talents and gifted people. He's making music for those who wants something more besides beautiful face and meaningless catchy songs. His music is really powerful, his dancing is soulful and touching. Taeyang is giving everything to us, his fans and we should respect him for his efforts. He can't always be on top and to me charts don't mean anything. If his song isn't on the 1st place it doesn't mean he hasn't achieve anything, it doesn't mean his music isn't good enough. And his last performance with Wedding Dress was definitely inspired by Michael Jackson. I feel it in every single move. FLAWLESS!!!! And no need to compare GD with Taeyang. They're both representing themselves differently but they're both INCREDIBLY talented.
And since I've always have been into R'n'B/Hip-Hop YB will always be my favorite Korean singer/dancer.

oh yeah...it is quite disconcerting how there are those who prelude certain personal assertions over something to cover up the meanings behind only to reveal more of a dangerous path to that without even to consider the circumstances surrounding each...GDYB are who they are for who they want and are to be. let's leave the two guys alone to themselves for their relationship goes beyond eh? each of them are quite the perfectionists they are and so goes with the other members as seen with their regard of their performances. so it's not surprising TY came out with the urge to a more perfect performance. it is actually really amazing how he does take huge regards for his music and performances as an individual artist (or a member) and his image for himself as that never changes, which is why he is loved (like the others)... <3

It really bothered me that he's not doing so well in the charts, it's just that Wedding Dress is SO GOOD, why doesn't the korean public like it that much?! But now, I don't care anymore......

Yang Hyun Seok, the representative of YG entertainment, revealed his new scheme, “Only Taeyang is intended to broadcast twice in a week, changing the past policy.”

Recently, by telephone, he stated that, “Taeyang’s performance is very ready. He will be an exception to the policy that YG has on limiting broadcasting. It will now be a “twice a week” broadcast.”

He revealed why he decided to change the policy, “I’ve seen Taeyang practicing in the choreography room, and I felt it was too good to be seen by just me. Also Taeyang seemed to have practiced enough, and it looked good enough to be broadcasted twice in a week.”

YG entertainment has released 2NE1 and G-dragon this year but has been decreasing the number of broadcasting, making ‘broadcasting once in a week’ their motto, because it is burdensome to take four days in a week to boradcasing shcedule. There were a lot of concerned voices at first, but he reassures that it is successful.

He says, “I felt bad holding the artists all day, from 9:00 AM, in the broadcasting stations. I wanted to carry through the policy of broadcasting “once in a week” from the time Big Bang’s Haru Haru was being promoted, but instead it began from the rookies 2NE1 because I feared Big Bang may seem “changed” after their success. Actually all personnel, including the vice president, was opposed to this strategy. I would have had to take full responsibility if it had failed, I was lucky to get good results though.

He also said, “Taeyang needs less practice than 2NE1, so I thought it would be good to increase the number of broadcasting, and Taeyang was in favor of this as well”

In addition, Taeyang got a warm response after his comeback stage on Popular songs ( SBS Inkigayo). He worked again with the team who choreographed “Look only at me”, which gained popularity last year, and the choreography this time around gained approval and praise such as “That’s Taeyang, as expected”.
