OMG, after a heavy night of drinking, i taxi'd home and when i vaguely remember
not having my phone...but it didnt hit me till the morning, when i realized i, indeed,
didnt have my phone....(mind you this is a new docomo phone i just bought...darnrnnnn).
I felt like i lost my baby ahha, and i felt like i just threw 550$ down the drain. So as i was in
a panic, my friend suddenly gets a call...its the taxi driver, says he found a phone and this
was one of the numbers on it, and that we can go pick it up. I swear i've never felt such relief smile.gif

My friend and I needed to go to this university but we can't get any tricycle so we decided to take a cab (even if it's too near) coz we have to get there asap. Then there's this man who's on the same way and he asked us to join in the cab he was in and paid for the fare~ :3

A pair of strangers gave me oxygen when I fainted at the height of 4800m above sea level after stupidly running 400m uphill (which isn't far by normal standards, but at that altitude - walking uphill was a challenge -.-).
You constantly have to rely on the kindness of strangers when travelling in a foreign country - be it a simple smile of encouragment, or embracing you into their home in a sparkling display of hospitality (rarely seen in developed countries) - stuff like that reminds me that we're going to be alright you know. Despite the violence, the hate, the prejudice, the misunderstanding, the stupidity, we're gonna be okay in the end. (sorry for the corn blush.gif )

I did something nice for a stranger once o.o; She was crying because the bus driver didn't let her on because she didn't have a bus pass...so I gave her mine xD

Nicest thing someone's done for me? Well I was short a dollar when I was buying something at Walgreens, and the old lady paid for me >.< So sweet ._.

I was helped a lot by nice strangers =)
like this one time my sister and I were driving in the mountains (camping grounds) to look for my brother cause he was with our cousins.
We ended up getting a flat tire and stopped at a nearby camp.
This young man came and changed our tire and everything for us ^^

Nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me is....save me from drowning tears.gif

It s back in grade 4 when my family went to the beach, and we were playing tag in the water
and my bro made me fall into a ditch dry.gif and i couldnt jump out of it
and i also didnt now how to swim.....
and i started to drown.... and a man helped me up, not a lifeguard

i thanked him...and after that my dad tried to teach me how to swim, but i failed horribly!!! blink.gif

well, one time I was walking back from the school infirmary,
and I was having an awful day and it was pretty evident I'd been crying.
this girl who was in one of my classes saw me and said hello
and I tried to look down but I said hello too.
about 3 hours later, I saw her at dinner,
and she like called my name across the room and I went over to her
and it turns out she wanted to ask if I had been okay earlier.
I had never really talked to her before that, but it just struck me as nice
that she even remembered or cared that I had been sad earlier.^^

another time I was feeling pretty down and I was talking to my friend on the phone.
I go to boarding school and she lives at home and so I was basically saying school sucked,
and I didn't really have any friends here and people didn't like me (it was my freshman yr).
I also mentioned how everyone had these signs on their walls their friends made for them
with like "I love you" and "you're a rockstar" and stuff (ppl actually did have them o.0 idk why).
so she was like "well, you know what, I will draw you a picture and make it big and put on it:
I LOVE [my name here]! from your BEST FRIEND, kim. and then when people see it,
they will be like 'wow, someone actually loves this girl?' ...maybe it will start a trend."
and I just thought it was so nice that she would do that for me
and imply that people would start liking me... I dunno how to explain it, but it was nice.^^
she never actually made me the sign but things got better and it was really the thought that counted.
sig rules=fail.
i kinda quit soompi. if you see me posting it's in a moment of weakness and extreme boredom.

ermm i'm not the most beautiful person thats for sure

i thought it was more weird than nice
but... i guess it was a good compliment? lol

very nice and sweet stories of kindness here.
I've experienced a couple of kind acts from complete strangers but i'll share this one:
One day years ago, our school service cannot come so my mother will be the one to send us to school. It was raining heavily and my mother was having a hard time taking care of us (my siblings) while wating for a taxi . I was in the 5th grade, my sister in the fourth, and the youngest at grade 2. We all go to the same school. Plus our big and stuffy backpacks (you know elementary)
Then this taxi stop by us so we ride it. When we are about to go down and pay the driver, he refused to receive it. (Taxi was expensive and that driver was working hard to earn a living)
We are very thankful for that taxi driver.

One time my mom made me carry this huge case of water bottles to my dorm room and I was struggling to case it because I am really weak than this random guy came up and asked if I needed help and he carried the case for me up the stairs to my dorm room. I didn't catch his name but, he was really nice and I thanked him. I feel grateful there are at least some considerate people at school because there are some really rude people here, haha.

I walked out at night in SF, cuz I was upset and just wanted to be alone. I didn't know the neighborhood. It was winter and really dark outside.
So I was just sitting on the sidewalk of a school. This van was driving by, pulled in reverse, then stared at me for a bit, then couldn't figure out why I was sitting alone in the dark, at an empty school parking lot. So she shouted "are you okay?"
I said I was fine, just waiting for someone.
That was sweet that someone would check on how I was. XD
WHY I LOVE YOU---I forget when I first fell in love with you, because you keep making me fall for you all over again.
When I see you, I see everything that makes me smile, happy, blessed
When I touch you, sometimes I want to cry, because I'm so afraid of letting you go

My everything, my first love, my only love, my love FOREVER

Last weekend a random guy on a bike pass my me and gave me a free bus pass.
I was so happy because I get to ride the bus for free. I know that bus pass aint worth
much but I'm still happy from that. It was just a random act of kindness I guess.

-I left my wallet at the restaurant, and somebody ran after me to return it :]

-Somebody offered to pay for my gas [I refused of course]

-Helped carried my stuff

-Phone fell out of my pocket and somebody picked it up

-I used to tutor kids and one of the kids [not one of the ones I tutored] came up to me and said 'you're really pretty and gave me a picked flower' Then he offered to help me correct papers lol

-I was running to the subway because I was so close to missing it and the doors were about to close, then some guy held the door open for me X]

-I was at some store and I was having really horrible chest pain and I was squatting then this elderly lady came up to me and said 'are you okay? do you need help?' - it was so sweet of her to ask when other people just stared @_@

and another time i didnt have enough money to get into my schools football game and the line was sooo long if i got money and waited in line again i probably would've never gotten in. luckily the nice man behind me paid for me

my phone fell out of my pocket and this girl followed me to give it back. it was in a very crowded hallway so i thought it was really nice

for me it was when I was in chicago (I'm french), I wasn't speaking english very well.
I was in a commercial center and I lost my camera, it was a new one (I had it for less than one month).
I was crying like a mad person. I was scary of my parent's reaction and then an american guy comes to talk to me, to consol me, he told me that the most important wasn't the picture because memories don't need a support there always stay in mind.
I was feeling better after to talk with him, I really understand at this time that there are some good american people.
