ah this has become one of my favorite threads. it's so sweet. it makes me want to be kinder to others.

I remember this one time when I was in kindergarten or something, and my sister and I were walking home from school under one umbrella. It was so windy and it was raining hard..A woman pulled up by us even though cars were still passing by and she offered us a ride. T____T So kind. But we declined the offer.

i absolutely love kind people.

once i left my purse in a store and i didnt realize it until hours later. i rushed back and found out that the manager saw it and put it in a safe place. nothing was gone and i was soooo lucky... inside was an ipod touch, cell phone, house keys, wallet, etc..

and when i was at disneyworld, a guy gave me 4 fast passes to go on a rollercoaster (which happened to be my favorite one) w00t.gif i ended up feeling a little dizzy that day sweatingbullets.gif

-I was grocery shopping and the cashier rang my stuff up, and it turns out I was short about 30-60 cents? All of the items I was going to purchase were important to me, and I didn't have the option of forfeiting any of them. I was searching and turning my wallet upside down for more spare change, only to no avail. Suddenly, a man behind me stepped up and said, "I'll take care of you, don't worry." I was so startled, and said, "No, it's alright..." And he goes, "It's okay. You can take care of me in heaven."

-I was in the second grade, and my parents weren't home, and I had no keys. I just stood outside my house, waiting for a miracle to happen, when it did. A man came up to me and asked me if I was lost in Korean, and took out his cell phone and told me to give him all the numbers of anyone I knew. I gave him every number I could remember, and he called everyone he could reach who could come get me and take me inside. I don't even remember how he left...all I know is that I went home safely and when I remembered to thank him he was nowhere to be found. Twelve years later, I honestly wish to run into him again, to thank him from the bottom of my heart for rescuing me. How times have changed.

-I was at Starbucks, and my drink was taking awhile. I was brooding around the waiting area for the drinks, while people who ordered after me got theirs, and I was still standing there. Finally, one of the guys who was making the drinks turned to me and said, "You've been standing there for awhile...what did you order?" I told him, and he took a venti and goes, "Upgraded, just for you." I was so touched, and when I received my drink, he told me to wait and reaches under the counter to give me a free coupon for any Starbucks drink I wanted.

-I was walking up the street, extremely depressed and stressed out, when suddenly I started nosebleeding. I had no tissue whatsoever, and I just tilted my head up clutching my nose, ready to just break down from everything, when suddenly a man passing by stopped, looked at me, and took out a tissue from his bag, handing it to me with a concerned look on his face.

-I was carrying a heavy box full of books in the hallway, and I set the box down to open the door and slide a wedge underneath it to keep it open. A random guy was behind me and just as I opened the door, he bent down, picked up the box and carried it through the door, handing it to me.

I still become extremely touched every time I think of these.
Do you remember the first time when you felt alive?

a guy randomly picked up my agenda book for me when it fell down, cause I had my arms full of books.

another guy (who I have a crush on) persuaded his friend to sell pop to me for cheaper at a school fundraiser (cause I'd already bought a can earlier)

on facebook I used to have an honesty box, and someone called me pretty. it made me feel really good about myself smile.gif because I actually don't consider myself to be pretty.

a bus driver once honked to make sure my transfer bus wouldn't leave without me..then he opened the bus door early so I could run out quickly.

On a vacation in Australia, our rented car skid on a road and was hanging nearly over a cliff. A kind lady stopped by and took us to get a tow truck.

At Warped Your last year the last band of the entire day was playing, my phone dropped and some witches with a B took my phone and threw it into the crowd. I used my friends phone to call it but that didn't work. At the end of the last song a girl called my friend from my phone and said she had my phone, we met up and i got it back. It was amazing!

i didn't realize there were actually that many kind people in the world lol

this happened a while ago...i was shopping at abercrombie and i usually carried a textbook around with me. so when i was paying, i put it on the counter and then left without it. i realized like 10 min later and then ran back to look for it. i felt something hit my knee but i ignored it b/c i was panicking about the textbook. i found the book and then reach into my hoodie pocket for my phone and it wasn't there! i started panicking again (almost having a heart attack since its my only phone and i'm still using it to this day) and ran around looking for it in the dark. it was around late fall and it got dark early so it was impossible to find it and the ground was cobblestone which made it even harder to find my black-colored phone. (darn those aero hoodies & their tiny pockets...i'm never putting stuff in there again hehe)

i asked this group of people if they saw my phone and this guy offered to call my phone. i declined since i was really paranoid that he might stalk me >_< and i just ran away.

i see this lady walking back and forth and i go up to her and ask her if she saw a phone and she was like "omg i was hoping that i would find you! i was looking for you!" i thanked her so much and told her that she just saved my life. turns out, she worked at godiva biggrin.gif lol

i'm still thankful for her and her kindness and for that guy too. it really made my day better and it kept me smiling smile.gif

oh yeah..just the other day, i forgot that i used up all my student metro rides and i was about to get off the bus but the driver told me to sit. i was happy since i hurt my foot/was carrying lots of stuff and didnt have to walk 5 long blocks to get home happy.gif

i like. HATE. crossing streets.
i've had too many experiences with
trucks almost running me over haha.
so there i was trying to summon
enough will power to cross the busy street.
this lady was there too, and i guess she noticed i
looked really troubled crossing the street.
so she helped me crossed the street lol biggrin.gif

yeup. i might've died that day being ran over XD
luckily that lady was there.
she sorta, saved my life? haha

When I was in year 8, it was a rainy day at school and I fully stacked it trying to run into a classroom in front of some seniors sleep.gif I'm just really clumsy and I got really embarrassed. But one of the guys picked me up, asked me if I was alright and patted me on the back(wth?xD). i was soo embarrassed I just ran in and ignored him =x

People that notice I don't walk right and ask if I'm okay, I think are really nice. I usually just get embarrassed and tell them I'm fine. But I think it's thoughtful of them to ask.

Of course, people who open doors and stuff are awesome especially elevator door holders.

When I was younger, I fell down a step in front of who knows how many people and so many helped me up.

I fall over. a lot ><

One reeeally nice thing that happened to someone I know. she dropped her phone at a bus stop. and a guy at my school found it, called whoever was listed as 'Mum' and told her. He could've used up the credit or whatever, but he called straight away and returned it the next day. My friend and her mum was just like "zmg THANK YOUx99" I thought that was incredibly honest of him. I kinda know him so when i saw him, I was like "Duuuuuude...that was so NICE of you. I'm actually proud of youu." xDDD He's younger than me and I tend to insult him a lot sleep.gif My view of him really changed when I found out.

One time, I was bowling and we moved aisle thingies. I left my bag there. with my iPod, $50, phone, EVERYTHING. I was freaking out cause I couldn't see it anywhere. Luckily the people that had the aisle after us were honest sleep.gif I'm such an idiot. It was really embarrassing too cause I kinda ruined the fun atmosphere and ended up hugging my bowling ball a lot...protectively. xDDD

When I was in junior high, I was the one who nobody liked/was bullied and harrassed a lot. I had maybe two friends (nobody liked them, either). Eh, I dunno why. Kids are just mean.

Out of the popular girls, there was one nice girl who would tell me she liked my shirt (it was a plain hot pink shirt, nothing special) and just say random nice things to me.

And on my birthday, someone put a sign on my locker, "Happy birthday!" and decorated it. I still don't know who it was, but I think it was her.

That same year, we were playing kickball in PE, and apparently everyone assumes since I'm "a loser" that means I can't play well. The teams were uneven, so everyone in the team I was in turned to me and the team captain asked if I would be the one to go on the other team.
The PE coach noticed this, yelled at the team captain, and made her go on the other team.

I was like wahahaaa. That was awesome.

He wasn't exactly a stranger, but yeah. ;_;

When I still lived in Vietnam, I was messing with my uncle's motorcycle, and it fell on me.
My uncle and his friends were playing soccer, but one of his friends noticed and came over to put the motorcycle back up. (:

i've been reading some of these and aww, you guys are all so lucky. smile.gif

I really can't remember a nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me. Hmm...bad memory, my head. sweatingbullets.gif

probably opening the door for me (and my sisters) when we're going inside a store. wink.gif

i remember one time i was shopping and i was paying for my stuff. i realize i was a couple cents short. it wasn't much so the person said that she'll take care of it and gave me my stuff. thank god. i felt so embarassed, cause i only had big money and all she need was a few cents and stuff.

i like this thread. smile.gif show that there are still kind people in this world. smile.gif

I was tippey-toeing trying to get something from the top shelf at a store and it was about to fall, but luckily a man who walked by gave me a hand and stopped it from falling.

one time I was buying a book from borders and had one of those discounts vouchers. so i started searching through my pocket frantically trying to find it but it wasnt there. so I was like to the store person "sorry i think i forgot it" and was about to pay full price when an old lady waiting behind and said here take mine. I was like wow!...i kept declining saying its ok but the lady insisted because she said she had many..so she gave it to me and i was like ty ty ty!...i left the store with that feeling...you know that feeling knowing there such kind generous people still around these days blush.gif

i have also been in the shoes of a nice stranger u could say hehe...I had just finished some work at uni at like 1 am and was driving home and noticed a man standing outside of his car in a parking lot. So i past the building thinking to myself whether I should turn back because maybe his cars broken down..it was 1 am in the morning. So I build the courage to U-turn back and drove up to him and ask if everything was ok...he said "yea"...it turns out he was the owner the the building and want to check up on it to make sure nothing dodgey occurs. So i was like 'Ok' and drove off. But i actually felt good that I turned back and see if anything was wrong...its just an awesome feeling! i wish i could do i more often
