Several years ago, I was traveling all over the Europe. I was in Marcille, France and caught a train to get to Berlin. One of the stops was in Holland and by the time we made a stop in Holland, it was late in the evening. I asked the train conductor about the duration of stop and he said I had about 30 minutes. I got off the train and walked around little bit and got some food, it couldn't have been more than 20 minutes. When I went to where my train was, it wasn't there, it was gone and there went all my bags.
I had no idea what I going to do. The first thing I did was find train station employees and told them of my situation and that my bag was in the train and as I was talking to employees, a young couple who was nearby me asked me what happened and I told them about missing train and my luggage in the train. They told employees to make sure my bags are unloaded at next stop so I could get it when I get there on next available train. An employee said there isn't any train going in that direction until next morning. The couple, to my surprise, suggested that I spend the night at their house and will drive me back to train station in the morning. I wasn't sure whether to accept it or not, they seemed very nice but seems to me, perhaps too nice, but it was getting late in a foreign country so I accepted their offer.
They were very nice. The feed me, we talked for while, mostly asking questions where I've been and where I'm going and me asking them about Holland. And as Promised they did take me to the train station next morning. I profusely thank them and caught my train to next to and got my luggage.
I will never forget them for their kindness toward a total stranger.
