when you call someone and you hear "the customer you are calling right now is unavailable at the moment, please try again later" etc, can you tell if their phone is turned off, rejected, or the sim card taken out?

or tell me this
does it mean anything/ is there a difference if

you call them

result:


1.) ding ding ding dinggggg (for 30 seconds) and then the "the customer you are calling right now is unavailable at the moment, please try again later" thing come on

2.) ring one or twice only "the customer you are calling right now is unavailable at the moment, please try again later"

3.) pauses (silence) and then "the customer you are calling right now is unavailable at the moment, please try again later" no rings here whatsoever.

There is a difference.

My bf uses Rogers and I do too and .... well I've called him enough to know his phone (I call him like 300x a month..).

1.) they're not picking up
2.) they're on the phone already so they've pressed "ignore"/"busy"
3.) its off/they're on the subway...(its a longer silence if hes on the subway)

I'm not sure if it depends on who you're calling.

I thought rogers had the fewest dropped/clearest reception? or does that only work only if your on the phone already and go underground?

no my phone got stolen, and when i called it never answered only gave me those results

2) they ignored your call
3) no sim card/turned off cell

this only happens when they dont have voicemall

u should tell them to de-activate ur cell then if it was stolen. i'm pretty sure the person will not pick up if they stole ur phone. haha tell rogers to kill ur phone too i think they can do that, so theif doesn't make money off selling ur phone too.
