there's no shipping, its on the lot. its an internet quote from a local dealer.

go visit the dealer along with other ones and see which is willing to beat that price. also make sure thats the price is to drive the car off the lot.
you might also want to check out kbb.com, edmunds.com, cars.com etc and see how much people are paying for the car you want. When you get to the dealer, ask to see the invoice of the car, they should show it to you if they really want to sell the car to you. It also doesnt hurt to visit the new civic forums and ask where people around ur area bought their cars and where they recommend. Also read EVERYTHING on any documents you sign and ask what each charge is. There are some things they need to charge because its a state law and sometimes they will also try to charge you for something you shouldn't be charged for. And if the car has any accesories that you do not want, try to see if they have the car in the color you want with out that accesory, if not try to negotiate a deal on the accesorie as in they throw it in or they give it to you for a discounted price. The dealers will work with you if they REALLY want to sell the car to you.
Make sure you test drive the exact car your going to buy so that you know how it runs. '
good luck, car shoppings not so fun haha i've had to do it while going to school when my dad wanted to buy a minivan. we ended up going to a dealer and negotiating for almost 6 hrs. The salesman stayed with us after closing hours past 11pm to make sure we got insurance, and all the paper work was in order so that all we needed to do the next day was to pick up the car. We also got free oil changes for life as long as we own the car. So see what kind of specials the dealers are offering. Oh and don't buy a car with say more than 20 miles on the odometer. It has probably been test driven a lot or it was traded from a different dealer. Our minivan had i think 7 miles on it when we drove it off the lot. and dont be afraid to walk away from the dealer if they're not wiling to work with you.
Also where are u located? if you are in jersey, i recommend Planet Honda. Their service department is great and the sales people there are great to work with. plus free oil changes for life as long as you own the car =]

They lure you in with a cheap quote, when you get there, they tell you they just sold it, try to switch and flip you on a different car.

If I might add that is absurd for a civic...
I saw the Mugen civic in the showroom...
Sticker price was $38k.. I was like that is
dumb for a civic.. You could buy a decent
luxury car for that price range...

I was pleasantly surprised with it though. They've done a lot of upgrades in the interior, i like the exterior better than the boxy Civic Sedan's.
Mugen Civic looks pretty sick though.

Well it's true. Got the window sticker thing in my hands now.
Reads:
2008 CIVIC 2DR EX-L NAVI
MSRP: $22,460.00
Destination and Handling: $635.00
TOTAL VEHICLE PRICE: $23,095.00
License and title fees, state and local taxes and dealer options and accessories are not included in the MSRP.
P.S. I think it's funny that they tell you Estimated Annual Fuel Cost is $1,449 based on 15K miles @$2.80 per gallon. It's been a LONG time since gas was $2.80/gal.
