I agree with enaid.
There seems to be a hype or fascination around mixed stars/people.
Drawing from personal experiences, i am 1/2 Korean, 1/4 Chinese and 1/4 Portuguese. However, i am only fluent in English. (i can SOMEWHAT speak and understand Korean and a bit of Chinese but i have no clue how to speak Portuguese whatsoever). My mother finished her university studies here in Canada while my father studied in Switzerland so they're both fluent in English and that's what my mother language is. It makes me kind of sad sometimes when i visit my paternal grandparents and my grandmother (who's Portuguese) speaks Portuguese to me and all i can do is nod and smile. So i can vouch for ABB that it is NOT uncommon for mixed kids to not be able to speak a language of their heritage - especially if they're raised overseas. (from what i can recall, ABB was raised in Shanghai or Mainland China?) So it's not a surprise that she can't speak English or German.
Yes i have to admit i often do find mixed people attractive (such as ABB! She has such a beautiful profile!) But i don't think it should make a difference to how people perceive you. I think it's hard sometimes for mixed kids to associate themselves with a particular ethnic group since they're a melange of cultures and heritage. (i think i look more Asian than European but to full Asians they think i look different because some Caucasian features show through).
I think this is all part of the societal stigma that because we are so influenced and used to the beauty standards of Western cultures (ie. Hollywood), we seem to associate the Western idea of beauty with everything and thus, may explain why we find Euroasians more attractive than pure Asians.
Just my two cents.

ABB grew up in Shanghai and Hong Kong, and yes, the English they teach isn't very good, to say the least.
Anyway, I'm 100% Chinese, but I'm only speaking for the Chinese people in my immediate family. My grandparents are really old school, and they always used to tell me that they would not allow me to marry a foreign wife, but that they may make an exception for caucasian girls. Their reasoning for this is because caucasian girls have pretty noses. So while that generation of my family feels that they would not like to socialize with foreigners, they do appreciate certain foreign physical features. If this is the case with all old school Chinese families, that may explain the hype about mixed people's physical appearance, but their tendency to avoid associating with them.
