hi,
i'm planning to take the SAT II for US History and Biology
and i was wondering what you have to study.
well i know no one is allowed to discuss it, and i'm not asking for past questions.
i just want to know if i to study the same information as the aps.
if it has different types of question then the AP,
then which books did you guys use and get a high score..
thank you,
for taking your time of reading this.
also i love you if you reply..
^^

I would like to know this as well since I'm taking those subject tests as well. So far i've bought the Biology spark notes cards to study [and won't use yet till school year is over] but i'm not sure if i'd be good enough. I'm doing the same with U.S. History but I'm gonna use other materials as well.

I just took SAT II US History on May 3rd, waiting for my scores this Thursday. /crosses fingers for 740-800 ;[
Best book is AMSCO, hands down. Read the textbook at least once, and take practise tests on Barrons, which is usually harder than the real tests btw. ;D
As for Biology, Cliff Notes? D; I took Molecular Bio last month I think, and got a 720 w/ skimming over Cliff's. Hoping to retake this tho. ;x

SAT II Bio. take it ASAP. After AP Bio w/e. Use Princeton Review. This is the only book you need. Kaplan under prepares you. Barron overprepares you. Sparknotes is wrong sometimes (and you don't know until you find out later... with a bad ending).
Both of my guy friends only used Princeton Review and a bunch of practice tests. They both got 800s. And they took it without AP Bio in case you're wondering.
I agree with luriel Amsco is the best book. Since its out of print juniors inherit them from seniors etc. It gets passed along. This is the only book that all the APUSHies in my school use.

not bad for free, yes, but SPARKNOTES IS SO WRONG. They make the most retarded errors in the world.
Take review book facts with a grain of salt. You should always have a textbook; handy as reference. I have yet to see an error-free review book.
Princeton Review is the most realistic book. Use that. I tried Barrons, Sparknotes, Kaplan, and Princeton. I overcrammed. None of these books were helpful. I remember that the problems on the actual test were most similar to the Princeton Review book.
Don't use any other book. I'm telling you you'll regret it. Just look through the book 3x thoroughly cover to cover and memorize what it tells you too. BTW if you already took AP Bio. SAT II is a breeze. It's the olympiad that's killer.
The reason that most review books are riddled with errors is because the publishing companies don't want to "waste" good money on editors, hence students are left to fend for themselves. >.< Textbooks on the other hand have hundreds of college professors reading and reading teh books to search for errors (i.e. Campbell has a 2-3 page list of editor names)

SATIIs for US History isn't that bad..
one of the ?s ended being on the AP exam. obviously i can't say whattt , but yeah xD
I took Bio Molecular cause i don't get Ecology.
problem is i heard that more people take molecular.. so the curve for that is higher, whereas the curve for ecology is 'lower'
only a difference of 20 questions though
and to prepare for those 2 tests, i just studied along with my AP exams for it
try sparknotes SATII prep
they have the study guides online
