Anybody With Diabetes That Want To Lose Weight..?

I have type 1 diabetes and wish to lose weight..
its harder for ppl with diabetes however bc we hafta be careful we wont have low blood sugars as well as regulate our insulin intake with exercising and stuff...
sigh! anybody out there thats in the same boat as I am or can offer some helpful advice? thanks...

Hi! I am a type 1 diabetic too (not quite one year since I have been diagnosed). I have recently gained weight myself and wish to do something about it.
I agree that it is somewhat more difficult for us to lose weight in comparison to the non-diabetic, however it's not impossible! I am afraid of having a hypoglycemic attack ANY time during the day :/ but especially when exercising! I suggest carrying at least a 15g carbohydrate snack with you (how inconvenient!!) everywhere, uncluding the gym or when exercising.
BUT! I think the best option for us is to watch what we eat (portion size and particular foods)! I know, I know! It's so hard, but this way we can BOTH reduce the amount of insulin we take AND lose weight. Two birds with one stone, no?

I hope this kind of helps, but it has definitely been a little reassuring for me to know that someone else is going through the same thing ..

I'm not sure about the types of diabetes, but there was this guy on The Biggest Loser that had diabetes. And he managed to go from 174.6kg -> 94.8kg.

I'm not sure if he has the same type, but he said you don't have to do strenuous exercises to lose weight. It's all about consistency.

There was another guy with a heart problem and he just walked while meditating and still lost a stack of weight.

It's all about consistency and determination.
