I bike basically everyday, about 1km every single day cause I go to school and back which is about 1 km. When I am biking, is it just working my lower body or my entire body? Cause I would really like to workout my upper body but was just wondering if biking has that kinda effect...

I think it depends on what you're talking about when you say "working."
It's obviously going to tone and strengthen your legs, but probably not your arms or abs or anything like that. But for all-around weight-loss, I think biking/cycling is a good choice.
So for weight-loss, yes, it'll "work" everything.
But for toning or gaining muscle, no, it'll only "work" your lower body.
Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but that's how I've understood it.

i dont think biking really works your upper body but you do need a strong upper body to bike and maintain a good form while traveling a far distance. i think biking just helps build your leg muscles, you probably notice you have calf muscles since you bike a lot.

Ooo and thanx for the help!!
I was wondering, from the information, is there an exercise that does work the entire body that is not jogging or running (in terms of creating muscle or toning)? Or are they all just seperate exercises?
