Korean/Japanese Phones
Will Korean/Japanese phones work in America or a different country?
Ah, the most common question. The answer is NO. Korean phones were made to be locked onto the network in Korea/Japan. Although, you can get a Korean phone to work on Verizon's network, but you would have to visit the retail store in order for that to happen, and I don't know if it can work on Japanese phones. You can find them in K-town. I don't know any websites, so don't ask me.
Are there any Korean/Japanese phones that I can use?
There are occasionally unlocked GSM phones. Softbank and Sharp are the popular ones. They are very rare though, so don't expect to see a lot.
