Finding Your Car With A Broken Window.

or any other place to find your car window broken?
Well, that's what I experienced today.
I'm so frustrated! I don't know what I did to have
that happen but I guess it was to be expected since I go to
a school dominated with.... people that aren't Asian.
=[
Hm- it wasn't a "robbery" but looks like someone
must either hate me or just decided to break my car window
just for fun.

They say treat others the way you want to be treated, and then out of nowhere something of yours gets broken just like that?

I apologize but reading that part made me laugh a little bit because I think I understand what you were trying to imply there. The pause in the sentence indicates some hesitation in an attempt to be politically correct.
This reminds me of something that happened a couple years ago. I was at a certain hospital in southside Chicago--the ghetto part of town--and was getting ready to return home from a tiring, long day. From the distance, I vaguely noticed a car resting unevenly on the parking lot. I will never forget that feeling when I realized whose car it was. It was the kind of feeling as if your heart weighed heavier than a ton of bricks, and it sank to the bottom of the ocean that evening. As I turned to unlock my car door, I thought I was experiencing an illusion. Half of my wheels had disappeared, replaced by two plastic crates. The shock did not hit me until I quickly checked the license plate to counter my disbelief. Thieves had stolen my rims and my tires while I was working; and they stole only the wheels on the side of the car that was facing away from the building. After accepting the reality of the situation, my colleague and I ironically burst into an a brief period of laughter. For him, it was really funny (the bastard had to ride the bus home, though hahaha). But for me, it felt like I was laughing and crying at the same time. The situation was too odd. My car was old, unattractive, and dirty. No one in their right mind would have wanted anything from that piece of junk. But I guess somebody must have really needed stock rims from a 1990 Nissan Maxima. Somebody evil and despicable. Even working in the southside of Chicago, I never thought someone would have wanted my piece of junk. I guess I was wrong. I reported the incident to hospital security, whose only response was to tell me to make a police report, while they did nothing about it, probably because they did not want to get shot in retaliation for actually fulfilling their job description, "Security." Even my own "friends" laughed at my misfortune; it felt as if they were teasing me, and they did not even bother to give me a ride back home when I called and told them what had happened. I felt utterly downcast. The truth was that my wheels had been stolen just two days before I was about to leave southside Chicago and drive back home to Virginia.
I did learn some things through all of that nonsense. I realized who my real friends were. And I now use wheel locks to prevent wheel theft on my new car.
Although my windows did not get smashed like what happened to Uh O Dianuh's car, but when someone messes with your car, I can understand the pain and confusion. I hope you get your windows replaced soon.

i parked outside my house at night and in the morning, my mom woke me up telling me someone broke into my car. i was hoping my mom was joking.. but once i ran outside to take a look, my heart sank
my passenger side window was broken and my dvd deck was missing
i felt so angry at first.. but after awhile, i just accepted that it happened and it was out of my control

Awh. Sorry to hear that! I'd rather have my window broken over having my tires stolen. The window should be fixed today. =]

I called a tow truck company to transport my car to a repair shop, and the receptionist confirmed that they should have enough space to remove my car from the lot. She was so wrong. The tow truck had no room to operate, and they still charged me a fee just for dispatching the truck. My optimism burst like a balloon. In the end, people lied to me, I paid money for no service, and my car sat on crates in the same spot for over a week.
One thing that compounded the situation was that the lease to my studio had expired, so I could not stay there any longer, but I could not go anywhere because my car was like a handcapped person with no wheelchair. Moreover, none of the shops in town had the appropriate rims in stock. Not even the local junkyards had old rims specific to my car.
The only people who laughed at me were some of my "friends." They were bastards. I didn't keep in touch with them anymore after that. The whole incident left a very sour impression on me.
Uh O Dianuh, I'm glad to know that the damage is being fixed.

Sorry about your ID and cards being stolen. I cannot imagine how I would react if that were to happen to me, if I were in your situation.

Tell me about it. I wake up early to prepare for a new years eve party, and I go out to get something from my car, and what do you know, my whole drivers side window broken with my sound system stolen..
It gave me a huge headache later on so I had to cancel going to that party..
Guess that's what I get for having an older generation RX-7..
