hello! i have two questions! :]


FIRST
okay so today i recieved my SAT II US history score... but... i didnt do too well on it.. (specifically a 580)
so far i have taken SATII korean (790) and us history.... i know i shouls take another subject and i was thinking Biology because i was pretty good at it.. but the problem is i took that class in freshman year and i am now currently a Junior going onto Senior year... i was thinking if i study an SAT II book over the summer and take it in fall, but im afraid it wont be as effective as if i took the class. i have asked some people and they have given me split answers...

i was wondering if anyone tried to just study from a book and take SAT IIs and if it worked.. or should i just study ushistory over again and take it again?


SECOND
hahai know theres another topic about chances for colleges but I was wondering about my chances for college along with my SAT II question...

The colleges i am interested in are.. (in this order..)
UOP prepharm
UCSD
UCI
UCD
UCSB

however i kind of have my heart set on UCI... :]?

GPA: UW:3.57 W(overall): 3.81 W (10 &11th grade UC GPA with 8 weighted semesters): 3.699
SAT: 1st: 1730 2nd:( to be taken in June and in fall...)
SATII: korean 790 Us history:580

Extracurricular:
volunteer at senior center (9&10)
volunteer at a museum as an exhibit explainer on saturdays (11&12)
volunteer at an afterschool program at elementary school every wednesday (11&12)
and a few hours here and there...
school's soccer team (10&11)
flute lessons (9, 10, 11)
clubPLEDGE VP(11)
youth group secretary (9&10)
youth group president (11)
Christian Club officer (11)
Praise team bass player (9&10&11&12)
another worship team flute (9&10&11)
orchestra(outside of school) (9&10)
i have a job as a tutor this summer and an internship at a dental office! :]
i also signed up for SAT classes this summer sooo... hopefully SATs will goo up after an INTENSE course..
kind of busy this summer...

Read AMSCO to bump up your USH score, seriously, this book rocks. You can order from the AMSCO site for like ~$20. My APUSH teacher often went off-topic and laments on his younger years, so I had to solely rely on this book. I got a 750.. D;

Remember to read a lot in the summer, and scribble down your thoughts. Eventually, your CR and W scores will go up. My CR and W were 800, but Math.. is a different story (660 orz). T~T

Your EC's are relatively strong, so you shouldn't have a problem. (:
