I'm looking to buy a simple MP3 Player. The only time I'm going to listen to is is when I'm in bed or working out,
so fancy functions like touch screens, games, calendars, etc, do not matter to me. I'm looking for something very basic.

I like the SanDisk Sansa Clip 4GB, which is currently on sale for $60. It's cheap and it received good reviews,
but I want to see other MP3's before I make the purchase. Can anybody recommend me a very simple MP3
that's similar to the SanDisk Sansa Clip? Something cheap, simple, and decent looking. Thanks a lot in advance!

Many of the small brand names are pretty simple and affordable, not always stylish though.

Just don't go for Apple.

i have 2 sandisks. one from the e200 series and another from.. m200 series(i think) and they're both still working pretty well ^^ i had the m200 one for about... 2-3 years? and the e200 one for almost a year. i just bought the 2nd one because the m200 one was too small in storage for me =]

never had an ipod, but.. I wouldnt recommend it since so many ppl have it. and plus, there are other companies out there that do a great job in making their devices but are much less known. =P and sometimes their products are better too! but its up to you ^^

I own the sansa (the one the aboved poster had), it lasted for about 2 years. It was an 8 gig, the screen is now mess up i cannot navigate. My previoiusly one was also a sansa...it broke down as well. My first one was a 256 mb...hahah how i love that little compact thing...it still works till this day. I HIGHLY don't recommend sansa to anyone...every now and then sansa release an update...and it turns out to be in hebrew or something. then I have to formate everything. I'm going to get myself an ipod...but before getting myself one i have to get a cheap 25$ from future shop lol. If the ipod is wreck or damaged...you can send it in and get it replaced. unlike other companies....sleep.gif sansa...u can go die

i bought a samsung YP-U3 MP3 (not sure is it was, but the model looks like that, and in white) like 2/3 years ago?
i think i bought it like SGD $170++?
till now it still works.
^.^
has 1 GB, i only use it when im on a train/bus/sleeping
so i dun need so much
only thing that sucks is that my earphone keeps on spoiling on one side.
changed my earphones fr. the samsung provided one to my recent one
dropped it like a gazillion times and it still worked!
hoho : )

well...I own the iriver clix 2. Although it has ALOT of functions, it's very simple to program and use, so I suggest getting that.

It's not very cheap though =/

Simple MP3? I say either iriver's Mplayer or iPod shuffle smile.gif When you're in bed or exercising, you don't really need to look at the screen periodically since you're just purely listening to music (imo). That Sansa one looks okay though but I personally wouldn't get it because I think it's uglier compared to the former two that I mentioned biggrin.gif (again, imo)

thats not true... the only way apple replaces your broken ipods is if theyre in perfect physical condition... which they never are. iPods are horrible. Anyways, i suggest a Creative Zen 2gb. Its so cheap now and it has expandable memory, huge screen, radio, great sound quality, etc. Costs $80 but worth it

That's why you get a warranty with it...

I was thinking of the Mplayer as well.
When your on bed and working out you don't even need to look at the screen.
Ipod Shuffle is good, no need for looking at the screen and going through menus to access music.
Or you can get the Samsung U3 I think that would be ohkay.

my aunt as a sony. Those are good as well.

Sorry for the big pictures ><
