So my 04 TSX has cupping tires. All the alignments, balancing, and inflation in the world- and its cupping.
So I need new tires (17) and I was looking the Yokohama S.drive or the YK520s but I also wanted some of your opinions.

you just want regular tires? because i doubt anyone goes spirit driving in the mountains with a tsx. unless u modded.
all i know that are good performance tires are the toyo proxes 4 and falken azenis 615. the rest of em i know are either worse in performance or tire life.

I'm not too worried about snow, ice is the problem. I forgot to mention that I live in GA where its mostly fair/warm/hot weather but during the winters it usually ices and rarely snows.

Its possible you may have a suspension (shocks/struts) issue if you get cupping. Not so likely with your car since its newer but possible.

i think i had toyo proxes 4 on my stockies....
they dont look like they would last over 30k (took them off at about 24k)
bridgestone....ill look up the model # later lol but people seem to really love this particular one

having owned both falken azenis st-115 and rt-615 i can recommend them for "spirited" driving, i've heard that these tires wear out extra fast but have not experienced that on my own personal sets. the wet performance is decent, but since i live in socal, i can't offer any personal experience on snow or worse than light rain conditions.

for all your socal performance needs

so bridgestone Potenza RE960AS pole position is what i use
i really love them, great grip, in wet weather they grip really nicely
i think warranty is up to 60k so they last awhile (thats if u get the all season ones)
overall its a great tire

the other one that i hear about is bridgestone s-03 pole position
from what i hear they have a very soft comfortable ride, but grip is amazing....
not sure about longevity

The Bridgestone RE960AS Pole Position was a great tire. I had it on my old car, one month before it met its fate. It had a very good grip, nearly made wet roads feel like dry, literally. Sadly I couldn't take my tires with me for my current car, the rim size is larger and darn.
So right now for budgeting purposes, i will be sticking some Kumho Ecsta ASX tires for my car, I heard they're good as well (i'll miss those tires tho, they were well worth the $$$ I paid for them
