Are you sure she wasn't intending to lose weight? cos I think it's impossible for a person to not feel hungry after only one meal a day. If your friend looks really underweight for her age + height, then it might be anorexia..but if she's still at a healthy weight and maybe even fleshy, maybe she felt it was the only way to lose weight, but as long as she's not scarily unhealthy from doing it...although you should get her to eat more cos with one meal a day you don't get enough nutrients.

usually a person is anorexic if they continuously avoid food and think all food is bad.
also, if your friend is excercising excessively and still not wanting to eat, that's a sign that she has an eating disorder.
also, her if she only eats one meal a day, she'd most definitely run out of energy.
your body needs food to function, and having just one meal a day won't satisfy that need.

hmmm....im not really an expert on anorexia.
are you sure she's not lying when she says that shes not hungry?
idk if this helps but i was watching ANTM and there was this girl who was anorexic
she said that she didn't eat because she wanted to loose weight
but she did it to be in control of something in her life
haha, yep, thats the insight that ANTM provides me with
best of luck to you and your friend

You can be anorexic and not intend on losing weight. Some people are anorexic for other reasons like depression or desire for control. Sometimes it starts off with a desire to lose weight, and then it goes to the point where they can't even help it and it becomes an illness.

You can go to someone for help. Sometimes you have to force it on them rather than worry about how they would feel about you if you went for help. If she doesn't start eating normally, she can get really sick. I know someone who hasn't eaten a proper meal in 2 years. She hasn't had her period at all in those 2 years and now she'll have problems having children. So yeah, get some help if she shows signs of anorexia.

woah I don't think it's possible for a normal person to eat one meal and not be hungry for the rest of the day. She might be anorexic, I suggest testing her and maybe offering her tempting food (which a normal person would surely take) and see her reaction. Tell her she's really skinny, and see what her reaction is.

Usually people tend to deny it sometimes, when they really are trying to losing weight o.o;

Others ways you can tell if a girl's anorexic, does she lack energy? Is she weak? Does she seem to think about food all the time or pretending she ate to cover up her anorexia? Most of all, is she too skinny?
People often say I remind them of Lee Hyori, hot sexy Korean babe with style and attitude! ;P

Lot of girls deny that they're dieting or trying to lose weight, that they're naturally thin.

It's a common problem especially with asian girls, especially at my university. What's stupid is most guys and naive girls tend to believe what they say.

one important thing to know is that even if you don't look like the stereotypical anorexic, it doesn't mean you aren't.
if your friend actually wasn't intending on losing the weight.. well she's not anorexic, but obviously she's got some other health problems (could be stress, overanxiety, etc ..)

anyway, if you think your friend's anorexic, best approach her carefully, or else she'll probably just shut herself away from you, and you won't be of any help

good luck ^^

if you don't eat for a while your body will get used to it. so it's highly possible that doesn't feel hungry.
she might be anorexic or not. if she stops losing weight now, everything might be allright?
but if she keeps on losing weight, then she certainly needs help!

eating one meal is a problem but yea i think that she might be hiding trying to lose weight... i know a lotta girls like that, so freaking annoying.
hopefully if it's anorexia in development then you can help her..

One meal a day. So one meal in 24 hours? Duh, she's anorexic, or at least trying to lose some kind of weight. People just don't go from three meals to one out of the blue. and she would've seen the doctor already if she really never felt hungry because obviously that's a problem

My friend's exactly like that too! She never eats because she's never hungry, or even when she's hungry, she still never feels like eating. She usually eats 1 "meal" a day (not a very nutritious meal). Sometimes she eats 1 meal every 2 days. She lost like, 30lbs already, and she wasn't even chubby or anything to begin with...
