Have you tried to steam your face, then wash it with cleanser/scrub? That gets rid of blackheads.
But for me my blackheads keeps on coming back too.

I have this problem too T_T
And its lowering my ego....
I dont look at ppl's faces when they are near to me...cz my blackheads are way too obvious ...=( I know I am a lil too vain ROFL

How to get rid of em quickly and effectively?
I tried the squeezing method and yes, my nose is red and ugly and swollen.
And I get squeeze all of em out, there's stil some residue here and there...although its a lil better den not squeezing at all..guess I made use of the wrong method of squeezing.

I used many diff kinds of black head removal products, they jz dont freakingly work....T_T like those peel off masks, gel types tat u rubbed on the blackhead prone areas, they dry up and u do some scrubbing actions, I tried srubs too....those with microbeads....sigh~everything dont work ...

the blackhead seemed to be way deep down my pores...and I find it really hard to get rid of em...T_T

from what I know, blackheads are not just dirt, they are excess sebum trapped or clogged in ur pores that oxidized so they appear black....

need help~anyone who knows any effective methods, share ...LOL

How do you steam your face? Maybe you can just put your face above a rice cooker if you have one or while you are cooking instant noodles or something. That's what I'd do lol. But if you're in the hot shower, would that steam suffice?

try getting a good deepo cleanser. i use olay foaming cleanser. i had this prob so i used the cleanser, morning and night. ayt night aftter the cleanser i used st ive's apricot scrub for blackheads and pimples, then used non-comegenic lotion (clinque dramatically diff gel), and once a week i use the biore strips after exfoliating, but make sure you wash of the residue on ure nose w/ a cleanser afterwards. I have less noticable blackheaqds, they are almost gone. you need to get a hang of the biore strips, but once you do it works really well, like you could actually see the oil on the strips, kinda gross but cool at the same time. make sure you get the ultra ones with tea tree extract, it seems to work better than the original. hope it helps, update us to see if you worked for you

Squeezing your blackheads out will only make your blackhead situation worst. Why? Because your pores will get bigger and when your pores get bigger more dirt, oil, and bacteria gets in. Thus, taking you back to your original problem.

Try using an exfoliant. But only use this about two times a week. Any more than that your skin is going to dry out. And when that happens, your skin will produce oil to compensate for the dryness. So, it creates a bigger problem.

Exfoliate twice a week. In between that, wash your face with a regular daily face wash (cetaphil) or whatever else. And pat dry! After that, use a NON ALCOHOLIC toner. And moisturize. Don't go heavy on the moisturizer because it might give you pimples, especially if the moisturizer is rich and creamy.

If you want to spend money, I think Clinique has something for pores and blackheads.

I hope it helps smile.gif

**Edit** Also, facial peels help further remove dead skin cells which block your pores. So do it once a week.

OMG!! I think you suffer from the soapja syndrome. XD

Nose is sensitive, red, and swollen.
Does it get like that even if you rub it after a bit? And after it'd redness it sort of gets purpley before going back to normal?

Blackheads everywhere.
Are they seriously everywhere on your nose? Is it hard to squeeze them all out? What kind of skin do you have? Do you have an oily T zone?

I'm not kidding, I've been suffering from this for about 4 years now.
It's killed my self esteem.
(No joke)
I have really sensitive skin, I get blackheads on my nose A LOT and a few in other areas of the face. I have a really oily T zone. I squeezed, and I ABSOLUTELY regret it.

Don't squeeze them. All it will do is make your pores HUGE (like mine) and will leave permanent scarring everywhere.
It's grossss.

I have a really sensitive nose, and I find that after a bit, whenever I use a scrub or whatever, it tends to leave my nose gross and purple/red and...gross.

I don't know if this will work for you, but try it out for a week because it worked for me...and I think you have the soapja syndrome.

1. Never touch your nose. Like..ever. NEVER touch it.
2. Wash your face with lukewarm to cold water. Don't use warm water or steam it, it will only irritate your sensitive skin.
3. Use a foaming kind of soap, and make sure it removes oil. Don't use a washcloth, especially on your nose. Cetaphil is REALLY good, trust me. It takes away the oil without drying up the skin. I use this free giant bottle of Estee Lauder creamy...pouffy...something. But it's ridiculously expensive, so once I run out I'm going back to my beloved Cetaphil. Splash away the water lightly, and make sure during this time you do NOT rub your nose.
4. I've just started using Bio Oil (about a week) and my sister has noticed my pores are getting smaller and the blackheads have become less noticeable. Maybe it would help with you? It's not that expensive, and it lasts a long time. There should be a thread somewhere around here for it. What I do is that during the night time, I apply it like crazy on my face, and when I wake up my face is sort of oily, but the redness and amount of blackheads have died down.
^ That's my regime for night time.

For morning, it's essentially the same thing, except I leave the oils on my nose, meaning I don't wash it. It might sound gross, but I find that leaving it like that will make it less red and irritated. Then I apply the Bio Oil to everywhere except my nose. Sunscreen is a must! I don't apply it to my nose though, as I find it blocks the pores.

During the day, drink A LOT of water, and make sure you eat really good foods. I find I get blackheads the most when I have...like...warm air (yeet hay, a Canto thing) so I drink a lot of cooling tea. If you're Chinese you should have a good idea as to what that is. It helps a lot with the control.

Don't try getting rid of them using scrubbers/nose pads/your fingers. Been there, done that. Does. not. work. Well, for me, at least, and I'm guessing for everyone else who has sensitive skin.

Phew! Hope it helps! It's not guaranteed, just so you know, that this will work for you.
But all the best with getting rid of those blackheads.
I hate them as much as you do. smile.gif

my friend suggested that i use this product. it was Biore. it's the blackhead pore strip . it's really good ! although, the process of taking it off is painful, it works (: i have really bad blackhead issues.. thus, it was my last resort. it's really good for helping you take out blackheads or diminishes them and leaves your nose feeling softer than it was. http://www.biore.com/usa/products/productI...asp?productId=9

you should use some good face wash every morning and night.. after all i really suggest you not to squeeze it or even try to pop & touch it because that can cause it to have more... it spreads when you pop it.. you should try using acne treatments.. clean & clear are pretty good.. other than these try going to your doctor to see what's best for you if you have sensitive skin.

someone once told me to get this pin that you poke the blackhead and then use the other round circle end to flick it out...

basically easier way to squeeze them out without the red swollen nose chin.etc.

my sister squeezed this one out on the tip of my nose for me it was quite red until i reaslised that the 'root' was still in there... so right after i got rid of that it immediately started to fade. i won't lie to you you will get like a tiny dot slighlty darker than your skin remaining but hey what can't bb cream cover ?!

... i have a less painful answer to this problem of blackheads that does not include poking your blackhead with something sharp...
it this cleanser that i've started using its called Shiseido's Perfect Whip foam

QUOTE
A rich foam cleanser which can dissolve makeup and draw out impurities from the pores. Contains hydrating agents, including amino acid, for smoothing and maintaining the natural moisture of the skin.

This cleanser forms as a soft and rich peak, acting as a "cushion" to protect the skin from harsh cleansing motion. Meanwhile, it penetrates into the pores to clean impurities and excess sebum. Skin becomes clean, soft and hydrated.

QUOTE
Shiseido Sengan Perfect cleansing series enjoys high popularity in Japan with its effectiveness in removing make-up as well as drawing out trapped dirt and blackheads from pores. Shiseido Sengan Perfect whip Face Wash is a super lathering foam cleanser which can create 5 times the lather of any other cleanser. The fine and rich lather is powerful in removing make-up, drawing out trapped dirt and removing blackheads from pores, leaving skin clean and healthy.

LOL.. after my first use i realise most (80%) of my blackheads disappeared
i was so happy

I had a million blackheads all over my nose too!

A lot of people suggest steaming and then exfoliating (2 - 3 times a week), but for me, that didn't work. But then again, this might work for you. But anyway, whether it works or not, you should still do it, because when you do, whatever cleanser you use can penetrate the blackheads more deeply, which is good, because you want to be able to cleanse them.

I've also tried those nose strips, but again, that didn't work for me, but it might work for you.

Clay masks (if you have sensitive skin, find a gentler clay mask, and maybe only put it on your nose?) a few times a week helps too. For me, when I used the clay mask, I could actually squeeze the blackheads out (usually I can't), but my nose became really red XD And yeah, most of the time, they came back... This also might work for you.

But, the thing that actually worked for me was cleansing oil. I don't know if you've heard of it but google it if you haven't. Anyway, it didn't work straight away, it took about a week or so for the blackheads to reduce, but it eventually worked, and now, I have no blackheads biggrin.gif Also, the cleansing oil has helped to reduce the oil production on my nose, which is good. If you're wary about cleansing oil (and putting oil on your face, or again, maybe just put it on your nose?), there are a ton of sites out there that tell you all about it. Just make sure you wash the oil completely off, or it negates the effect and could make it worse.

Finally, keep your hands away from your nose, have a good regular facial routine and try not to squeeze!

Yeah I have them too, mostly on my chin. Washing my face, squeezing them, and exfoliating doesn't seem to help at all, so I just try to cover them with make-up.

This probably isn't good for the skin, but last week I grabbed a band-aid and placed the sticky part of it on my chin (over the blackheads) and pulled it off after a few seconds and my blackheads were pulled out with it.

I don't know if you should try that. It might irritate your skin further since it's sensitive, but this is just my two cents =)

To get rid of my blackheads, I use Biore deep cleansing pore strips. They do a pretty nice job of getting rid of them.
