How do you know if you've never taken any extensive classes in either...?
I don't know much about French, but pronunciation in Spanish is definitely easier. I'm in Spanish 4 now and grammar is hard as all hell, I REALLY regret taking that class. But then again my teacher is absolutely brutal, completely ruthless... Spanish 4 classes from other schools nearby aren't as hard...
I wouldn't choose based on what's easier or harder, they're probably about equal (which is why they're both offered to high school students). I would choose based on what you find more interesting and what you think you're more likely to use.

A dialect i speak has elements of Spanish in it so i had to learn a few spanish elements, I'd say in terms of pronounciation it may be easier, the accent was easy for me cos its the same as my dialect.
But anyway, I took French for an equivalent of 4-5 years. And i loved it
it can be frustrating in terms of verbs and their forms but thats about the hardest thing and i didnt start learning that until my 3rd-4th year od French. The accent and pronounciation end up becoming natural after a while and once you understand the concepts its easier to geuss the pronounciation of new words
You'll find its a lot like English, so a lot of it is easy ^^

as for me, i took spanish in the 6th and part of 7th grade,
so it was kinda easy for me know since i take french.
it all really depends on you. if you like to take harder
courses, maybe french would be good? in french 1, i learned
about numbers, family members, salutations, etc. etc. which
was fairly easy. in spanish, i remember learning about sports,
numbers, family members, etc. etc. in french 2 (which i'm in
right now) is also easy until you get into the middle of the semester.
but i think it'd be best if you chose a course that you really like (:
or something that all your friends are taking.

its totally fun!
but yeah, like Riri said,
it should depend on your interest.
because if you're not interested,
then it'll be hard for you and a total waste of time
its like, why take it if you arent gunna enjoy it?
so yeah it depends on which one you prefer xD

But I think they're both pretty easy and fun. Spanish might be more useful and with Telemundo you'll have more opportunities to practice/learn in every day life.

Not only the grammar but also reading, pronounciation is different and harder because a lot that is written wont be pronounced.
Still, it will be no waste to learn it.

French is going to be hard if you don't know it all, unless you're taking it outside of school.
We don't have Spanish here, because it's Canada - but I know some school's who have it. French isn't bad since they taught it to us in grade one (Grade 4 for normal people). I have a 89% in it, but I guess that's just me. I'd go with Spanish, because it sounds way easier according to other Soompiers. It's hard to be familiar with conjugating, the rules, and such. It's a pain in the ass sometimes. =x
