i think Danny's also going, no? that's what i remember reading. but perhaps it's because Danny's born in America? but that wouldn't justify... Didn't Hoyoung accidently have duel citizenship because of an error in the government or something...? So... a while back (sometime in the past year), they asked him to give up one way or another because Korean doesn't allow duel citizenship, and it SEEMED to them like he was using this error to dodge military service. Hoyoung chose Korean citizenship (I think in a way, too avoid the kind of contreversy like Yoo Seung Jun), so now he has to go to the army.

If this is incorrect information, someone please correct me. This is just what I recall from the situation from the articles my friends translated for me

Hoyoung had a dual citizenship due to an administrative error. He should have been a full American citizen. Korea does allow dual citizenships by the way. Some of my friends have got some.
The thing was, if he did have a dual citizenship he should have to go to army. While if he was a US citizen he wouldn't. So obviously, records would say he's supposed to go to army.
But his step-mum went crazy and said that he was dodging it.
My understanding is that netizens were saying he should go to army anyway, seeing as how he's lived in Korea basically all his life.

...Which is stupid cause so has Danny.
I dunno.
That's what I got from all the rough translations news articles everyone posted up and stuff...

so i guess his parents are korean, he was born in america, and spent most of his life in korea.
or whatever. not really sure what that involves.
but the korean ppl that this military thing really serious and they were saying he'd do something "yoo seung jun"ish.
i guess use america as an excuse to skip on the military duties. u know he made so much money in korea so he should do his duties.. and blah blah blah.
i heard on the korean radio that my mom listens to that he gave up his american citizenship. but i dont know if thats true.

not sure about danny. yeah. hes not that healthy. he's always getting sick neways.

if you're a fob, like, if you were born in korea and then moved to the US or whatever
and applied for US citizenship after living in the US for over 5 years
... then you're a US citizen.

it's not that they dont ALLOW duel citizenships.
it's just.. not normal.
even though it's still possible to use your KSSN to make accounts for korean websites and stuff.

anyway. so hoyoung's ex-stepmother, after his father asked her to divorce him, set up a media conference and started telling everyone all these 'private stuff' and this duel citizenship thing was one of them.

and korean netizens started PMSing about the whole thing, comparing hy to YSJ, making it sound like he did it on purpose and saying how he should get kicked out of korea.

(personally, i think it's possible that they couldve dont it on purpose, since JYP and Sidus HQ have enough power to do so.)

JYP didnt want all the drama to happen, i guess, and that's why HY came out saying that he would go to the army.
