In the Philippines (I'm a Filipina btw) Koreans are slowly getting recognized, but after getting really popular, they'd immediately die down. As of the moment, less than 5000 people I think are really into Korean music and the Philippine media hasn't focused its attention to Korean music either (oh God, please no >.<) so I don't think there's a really accurate answer for that yet. But I think if we do have a survey, we'd be able to answer that ^^

In Vietnam we love almost Korea's artist
But the most is Super Junior and DBSG ^^
Uhm,if U want to know who is the most popular member in Suju or DB we love,I don't know exactly .....
Just because Fans in VN love all members in one group and we don't love anyone more,because,we think it's not fair with other member ^^
I and all fans in Vietnam always hope Suju or DB will come to our country but they haven't come yet >"< So sad

im malaysian, but i love bigbang the most....
but the real situation in malaysia[my opinion]....dbsk fans are more than others...after them is super junior. there's less bigbang's VIP like me...some of them[malysian E.L.F and cassiopeia], didn't know about bigbang, sgwannabe and girls band[wondergirls and seeya]..etc...
its just my opinion...because when i asked them they didnt know...smtown have more fans here.

i think tvxq is quite popular here considering that there is no coverage whatsoever of korean music artists here. i am a member of cassiopeia phil. and i think all the boys has lots of fans on their own.. almost equal. but probably jae joong has a tad bit more than the rest...

suju is also quite popular but i am not sure if there is E.L.F. phil.

maybe b'cause Indonesian wasn't hallyued enough that they ALWAYS skip Indonesia from their (korean artist) asian tour.

i'm Malaysian
i can say that more than 50% kpop fans population in my country(or 90%?) only care bout dbsk, super junior, bi rain, maybe some old school kpop, oh and a lil Shinhwa i guess..
older generation love Bi Rain i guess(like my lecturer lol) n younger generation with dbsk n suju, but there are also younger generation who likes bi rain of course...just that..he's not 'the' youngsters' trend anymore i guess.
SM loves to come here i guess.....like dbsk n super junior had been here a few times already..n i never once went to see them....ohmo...so yeap, that helps the promotion.
big bang n ft island is getting quite a fandom too....heck maybe wonder girls too.......n iono...snsd? since Malaysian mostly i met lovee SM (not me tho)
others also have some fans here n there...like i encountered lotsa members here n there from my country who are fans of SS501....just that....their fandom isn't the 'loud' kinda fandom.
me personally......most of the artistes i love, aren't even known to my friends who claimed to like kpop, which makes me sad n bored since no one to share fandom with (thank God for the forums n internet).
as for most popular members in the groups...sorry i can't comment on that. no idea since i'm not into most of the singers that are popular in my country's kpop community, but as for Shinhwa members.....from the people i've met, i guess, they really support each member.

Because I like helping people, I asked my Thai friend from the other forum about your question. I'm sorry for the delay since I've just received his PM today. To clear it all, he's not a fangirl because for the first place, he's not a girl and secondly, he's not a fan.

So, I asked him if he knows Suju and here was his reply...

And yes, I know SJ, barely. All I know is that they are 10+ people boy band from Korea and is going to have a concert in Thailand. I didn't witness the day when six of them came to the press conference, but I heard that there were SWARMS of fangirls-- not less than 10,000-- screaming/crying/almost gasping for air for their mere presence. The hell's breaking loose, I'll say.

I know you're the BIG fan of them yourself... but hell, I don't listen to their music, sorry.

Thai fans are all over anybody from Korea. Even with the one I never heard of. There's this singer who recently visited Thailand called 'Ajoo'...do you know him?

I actually enjoy Korean songs. I really love Shinhwa music and some of the latest tunes from the Wonder Girls are pretty catchy as well.

I'm from the Philippines and Suju is quite popular here especially after that super popular Charice duet with Kyuhyun.

Judging from that, I think Kyuhyun is the most popular member here.

I know in China, Shinhwa is extremely popular.
As for Japan, Shinhwa is immensely popular as well.
But I think TVXQ is #1 in Japan right now because of their crazy promotion.
If other groups did the same, I'd predict they would get popular as well.
As for other countries, I'd say TVXQ and Super Junior owns a bit.
This is due to SM's overseas promotion tactics.

Since I am a Shinhwa fan, I'll speak on behalf of Shinhwa.
Shinhwa has only launched its title official in Japan around 2005.
They were also focusing on solo activities at the time.
However, with the release of their first ever Japanese single, they sky rocketed to #1 in Japan.
They also had numerous concerts in Japan with over 20,000 fans attending all the time.
They even have their official Japanese fanclub called "The Legend." (Very catchy and powerful name I'd say ^^)
As for China, I believe they have always been very popular there.
The numbers keep growing day by day in China.
As for other countries, it's really unfortunate because Good EMG doesn't promote them there.
Good EMG, their entertainment company, seriously sucks. I'm sorry but it's the truth.
They don't even promote Battle or Lyn very well either. Which is seriously killing me.
Only if Shinhwa remained in SM, I wonder what life would be like now.
