I'd say it was a good thing you didn't bite on the Accord. Enjoy your new Reno. <EDIT> I had no idea what a Reno was until I googled it. It doesn't look that bad... Looks like a modest version of the WRX if you squint your eyes.

it being "almost new" due to major repair is NOT a good thing
that means it must have been damaged greatly and i would not risk it
but be happy....i drove a minivan for a few months.....which wasn't so bad, but a regular sedan would have been nice lol

Ever since the my Accord had that wreck. The rear suspension squeeks during the whole car ride. Spray parts of it with WD40 and it becomes quiet for like one day. Even lubed everything up and it only lasted a week.

But uh, yeah it might not be the car that you had initially wanted...
But when you're older/have a decent job... buy your own car to your own standards/wants....................
Until then, just take whatever your parents give you I guess.
You have for like 18(?) something years already anyways.
