I think age doesn't really matter anymore once you turn into an adult such as 21 and over. I absolutely hate seeing 15 year olds dating 25 year olds and saying "age doesn't matter" because when it comes to that age DOES matter! It's against the law!!

I'm 14 and wouldn't mind dating somebody 5-6 years older than me, but I prefer them in the 2-4 year range.
I don't care much, but there's a difference between a 20 year old dating a 12 year old and a 28 year old dating a 20 year old.

i've been going to church with this guy for about 2 years now and i've been liking him for about 6 months..
he's 24 now and im 18..
a lot of my friends say its not weird and some of my friends are going out with 24's and 23's..
but the problem is.. kids in my youth group look up to him as a teacher.. because since we dont have a pastor, he's been giving the sermons..
however, i havent really looked at him as a teacher from the first day we met.. he's always been a friend..?
and in my pov, it SORT OF seems like he's interested in me too?

for example.. i go to school at nyu.. and last weekend, i had no ride back but he came back from canada that morning.. and before he went to canada, i asked him if he could give me a ride back cause i had no ride and he said okay but i promised him i'd buy him dinner.. in the morning though, i texted him and told him that i didnt need a ride but he didnt reply.. and then when i went to church, he told me that he can give me a ride and i said its okay.. and he was like 'i wanted to go out to ny anyway'.. so he gave me a ride and i didnt expect him to come up to my dorm with me but he just followed behind me.. so he came in, we went out for dinner but he paid.. and i told him i feel bad so he was like 'okay then you could buy me dessert'..

and often, he acts like he's pissed off at me while we're arguing about stupid things.. but he never does that to other girls in the youth group.. so it kinda makes me confused..? like he actually pouts his lips at me and pretends to walk off alone..?

i dont know.. opinions please...? i just want to know if i should try to stop liking him before i hurt myself.. or if its okay for me to continue with this..

bah... i feel like i've answered this question a million times already but i'll finally say my thoughts for the last time in this official thread...

i'm sure many people have said this already but i believe that only MENTAL age matters. physical age means nothing if mentally they're not there yet. so whether the guy is younger than me or older than me... it doesn't matter as long as we are on the same mentality level. so far i've found compatibility with guys who were four years older than me... and then also a few months younger than me. ahahaha it's a bit strange... but really nothing can stand in the way of a relationship if you deeply love each other, right? even though i still get irked if couples have an over ten year age gap... but who am i to say that they could be a perfect match for each other?
so as of right now, for me as an eighteen year old... the age range for whom i want to date is to be no more than four years older than me... and no more than one year younger than me 8) this might change over a few more years of experiences though... keke

Well, Im really interested in this one guy .... except im 19 and hes 16 .... (im a very late 88er and hes a very late 91)


I think he likes me too but have been really thinking this over whether liking him is worth it....

i dated a guy 3 years younger than me, and it was the same situation he is 16 turnign 17 in december and i´m 19 he looks older that he really is and he is really tall, and the beggining i felt a lil weird but after 2 weeks a forgot completly about the age gap since he was incredible, he was supportive and tender and adorable, this relationship
was so special, cuz he was so mature and centered, and i fell inlove,
