Design/art Majors?

Hey, I just thought I'd open up a new thread on design/art majors. I am hoping to get into my school's fashion design program this following winter and I wanted to know how many people here are in design/art and which field are they going into. I'm trying to get in for fashion.

I'm a Design major with an emphasis in Fashion and Textiles @ UCD.

It's kind of hard to get into some design classes since it's my first year-- but i like it so far.
I'm doing all design coursework this summer.. so we'll see how that goes!^^
It's amazing just to look at our Design program's gallery.. awesome dedication and passion students put into their work.

D hopefully interior & architectural design major hereee. ^^

i'm starting off a ccsf first.. then seeing where i am in the next 2 years.. then, i'll decide as to what school i go to (assuming i get in).. but preferably, in socal so i'm close to my honey. haha

I just switched my major from Fashion Design to Interior Design =P
it's tough, projects and everything, but I love it.
and expensive ahhaha

I'm going to go into Industrial Design at RISD (Rhode island school of design) I'll be a sophomore this fall but since RISD has a foundation year, i didnt start my major yet

hey guys, i'm trying to go to DAAP (university of cincinnati's Design, Architecture, Art & Planning program)

&& RococoBaby...Parson??!!! That's like one of the BEST Schools, congratz on going there. Tell me how it is.. I would totally apply there if I wasn't sucha punk-- i'm afraid to move away from home cuz i'll be away from my friends and family =(

I am a Studio Art major at the University of Texas at Austin, and I love drawing. I've always liked fasion design and computer stuff as well. I'll tell you there are waaaayyyyyyyy too many pretentious people in the art field at my school, and it gets extremely annoying. There are also some very cool people.

I'm going to be a freshman @ RISD this fall. Even though I'm in for some grueling foundation courses this year, I've got my heart set on illustration. It should be fun.

I'm majoring in Interior Design at Syracuse University, College of Visual and Performing Arts. I'm thinking of minoring in Architecture too or double major since I heard from my drafting teacher that Syracuse is a top Architect school, or known for it.

im majoring at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, on some design course... perfer not to say..

but anyways, so far this been a great uni for design! ... Im glad i came here!

I must say majority are fob's in this uni...

fcsol - The industrial design there is known as BA Product Design.. its really good! I dont knw much about Environmental .. good luck with ur decision

I thought theres 4 campus..the one I was talking about is near tottenham ct rd, right by charing cross rd. I had the chance to study at CSM but its expensive living and studying in central.
