Pretty much what the title says. Do you like your ethnicity, or do you wish you could switch? Why, or why not?


Personally I kind of wish I could switch. Pretty much every huge trouble i've ever been through has been because I was half.
I kind of wish I could just be korean, or white, that way i'd only have to deal with racism for being one thing instead of three (white, asian, mixed)
Haha, if I was full though then I might be one of those kids that always says they want to be mixed, or a white kid saying i wish I was asian lol

my sisters are korean(they're adopted) and sumtimes i wanna be fully korean but at least i have a little korean in me =)

Yes, I like being half Chinese (Taiwanese) and half Korean.
It makes me feel unique even though I know a few people who are the same mix as I am.

I like my ethnicity. Just guess what it is haha.
I haven't embraced it as much as I think I could.
But each day, I'm learning more and more. It's beautiful.

i don't mind my ethnicity, but i guess i don't embrace it as much as my parents would like. i like the idea of being mixed, being a part of more than one culture. i'd like to speak or just be able to understand several different languages. i sure wouldn't mind being part korean and japanese though, kekeke.

I don't exactly WANT to change ethnicities, but I just wish I can speak other languages sometimes.

I honestly don't see the point in wanting to be another race.
If you're arguing that racism plays apart of the reason, then all I can say is deal with it. Everyone deals with racism and wishing you were some other race is just a false idea of thinking you'd get away from it; it will never go away.

Also, just because you're another race now, doesn't mean you yourself is going to change. You're still going to be the same person and look the same; you're just changing your ethnic label. Unless, you specify that you want to switch your looks and everything also.. but the question was only asking if you'd like to switch your ethnicity. Unless I'm misinterpreting and switching your ethnicity comes with the whole package of switching looks and language and everything too

Anyway, no, I do not wish to be another ethnicity. I guess the only thing I would wish for is to understand and speak other languages well.

By the way, I think there's a thread like this floating around somewhere.
