Seen it a few times but mostly because the police car was broken down. Heck Police here do not care if you are running a red light or following procedures. They give tickets when they feel like it.

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

Thats pretty sad since most police cars are pretty well maintained. I remember I had the opportunity to buy a Volvo Police crusier that was used the the California CHP. It was actually a test vehicle that was given by Volvo to them for their consideration and when I met the dealer who was selling it, the CHP had every single maintanance record (in a binder) for this car, including speedometer calibrations, all the maintanance work done since the car was delivered to them. He said nearly all retired police cars are like that. Oh man, I really wish I bought that car... oh man i could've had a front rammer and search lights...

The guy who sells the retired police cars has a ebay account, which i think is "inpursuit" or something like that.

Generally in california, any police vehicle is retired once it hits 100K miles.
