I've always been self conscious my entire life. You know when you see a group photo and there's that one ugly and/or fat kid that kind of ruins it? Well, I've always been that kid.
My girl friends are all thinner and prettier than me. I have one friend in particular that most guys I know seem to always have an eye on. She has a great personality and is always dressing in style that "WOW"'s everyone around her.
Whenever I'm chatting with her online and my boyfriend's around, he tends act like he's going to pee in his pants because he's always excited to see her or talk to her.
Now the story:
Today I was chatting with her and he decided to kind of push me aside to type something to her. So jokingly, I asked him, "If you like to talk to her so much, why don't you go date her?"
He decides to reply back in a smart ass manner of, "Because a fat chick is standing in the way!" Then he started to laugh. He tends to think he's so funny and laughs at every "witty" thing he says.
Now what would make him think that I'd laugh along with him after that? What makes him think I'd even want to stay with him after that? o_o It definitely ruined my day(today) and now my self esteem is even lower than ever. He also knew how bad my self esteem issues were from the start even after I went through the trouble of shedding 40 pounds. I told him to not say anything about my weight and a day after, he goes and says that.
I can't believe guys can say that stuff to their girl friends...
Feel free to share your story if you have any :T

If my boyfriend made that kind of remark to me, I'd make him leave my house. That's very insensitive, especially in your situation. - -; What a douche bag.
The most recent salty remark my boyfriend has given me is when I went to visit him at work after my cousin's graduation luncheon thing.
I had to dress semi-casual cause yeah, showing up at that event with my usual t-shirt and jeans would've been kind of "wth." So I wore this blouse I bought on Soompi, which I think is nice (of course, otherwise I wouldn't have bought or worn it).
And some random guy tried to talk to me while I was leaving and when I saw my boyfriend, I told him about it and he said "it's because you look like that."
I asked him what "that" would look like, and he said "think about it," rolled his eyes, and left. He thought my blouse thing was slutty and basically called me skanky looking in a not-so-direct way.
I had to wait for him to get off of work which was like in 3-4 hours, and I had to stick around at that mall... and he told me to do whatever until he's done, just not walk around because of what I was wearing (note: it wasn't like I was wearing make up, shorts, mini skirt, or any skirt at all, either... I was wearing jeans << ). So I went to Macy's and I bought a new shirt, changed into it... and walked five laps around the mall. - -;
When he was done with work, he was still sour with me, even though I went shopping for him because he didn't like what I was wearing.
How ungrateful. <<
That was kind of long... but yeahhh.

Well, it didn't soften. It john teshing hurt like hell.
Your boyfriend's an ass though. Like snow kiss said before, I would make him leave after saying such a thing like that. Especially when he knows that you have self esteem issues. I have the same problem so I know how that must have stung and hurt and I'm so sorry that he did that to you.
I'm also wary of the fact that he likes to talk to her that much o_O. Don't you get bothered by that? I'd be so pissed.
~
You're really pretty and I don't think you're fat at all. Curvy more like it.

isn't it funny how you're a slut when other guys check you out, whether or not you're dressed appropriately/inappropriately? hehe... it used to bug me when my ex used to walk around in her mini-skirt and tank tops and all the guys stared and followed like she was the pied-piper. but it was the same thing that attracted me to her, so i just learned to live with it. besides, not like she was leaving me for some random guy
anyways... i think what hurt me the most in the past was when my ex told me that i wasn't tough enough, and therefore she didn't feel like she could depend on me for important things. i guess she was right back then. how things have changed since then... haha

I've never really gotten anything like that. The worst was probably when my ex told me that I was apathetic about our relationship
And yes, I was a bit. That's why i'm not with her anymore lol

Yes, I'm 20lbs overweight currently and I told my bf last night that I wouldn't talk about my weight or dieting again and told him not to say anything about it too. Then he goes and says that immature remark the next day.

Did you slap him? A comment like that would hurt a lot even if it was just a joke.
Tell him that you hate those kinds of joke and get him to understand that you mean it.
Honestly you don't look fat at all. You have nice curves which a lot of guys like and you have a cute face.
You only think you're fat cause you have a round face and chubby cheeks.

if anyone did that to me, i'd dump him.
i wouldn't give a **** about him, if he really still treats you as his girlfriend he wouldn't do that in the first place. but if you feel like giving him another chance, wait to see if he apologizes to you.
if not, he's not worth anything.
you have curves though! plus i don't think you look overweight. a bit on the chubbier side but definitely /not/ overweight.
plus you've got a cute face (:

but like ohh shes cuteee. or ohhh shes hott! and sometime i'll just be like jokingly like oh why dont u go and *insert action* with her?
and hes like yea i so would. but he knows i'm sarcastic and he says it sarcastically too. it still makes me upset and he knows it so he'll kinda
do like cute lil things (i suppose) to make up for it. but the thing that really upsets me is when he talks bout thinner girls. cuz i'm not fat or huge or anything
i have a lil chub but its not that bad. it just makes me feel really like you know conscious. i'm 5'2 and i weight bout 120 i think. =\ i need to start
working out lol
and supaxina you are a cute girl so dont dont worri cuz at night before he goes to bed he's probably thinkin bout you and missing you.
