i have a window vista, when i put it in stand by mode, it works but like 10 second later , the computer automatically turn on again
even if i did not touch the mouse or anything
so what's wrong with it? why my computer cannot remain in standby mode?
please help..thank you so much

its probably the wake-on-LAN setting.

just goto control panel > network connections > right click: properties on the LAN and/or wireless lan > configure > power management > uncheck "allow this device to bring the coputer outta standby" > OK

do this for the local area network and wireless too. i wrote this out under xp, but it should be similar to vista.
