Every animal is killed cruelly so you can't really use that as a reason to go 'no! they're just too cute and i just saw how cruelly they kill them'
Say that to all the chickens and cows
The tricky thing is...theres really no FAST way to kill large sea animals like dolphins and whales without destroying all the meat. With chickens, you can just break the neck of chop off the head and it'll be dead. Dolphins and whales usually end up struggling for a long time, ultimately drowning in their own blood as opposed to the inflicted wound killing them.
They also can't be raised like common livestock are solely for food purposes. Before, when it was just the natives an fishermen hunting dolphin and whale, it wasn't as big of an impact to endanger the species' numbers. Now with commercial fishing, a greater number are being killed...COMBINED with the fact that human pollution already screwed over their habitats.
So yes, I would say there's a difference between the way chickens and cows are killed compared to dolphins.

It's really sad, but you should always respect different cultures everywhere.
Though, I do believe there is a limit to hunting b/c they could become extinct T.T
I've never ate dolphin meat, and I don't think I will ever eat it. x__x

"Omg they're so cute! Poor dolphins!!!!
"They're nice and friendly!!"
"I LERRRVE dolphins! No!"
I mean, farm animals can be nice and friendly and cute. Are they respected the same way as dolphins? No. I understand if people are saying they were going extinct and their numbers are dying down, but really the shallow replies in this thread are just...
This thread was made to sympathize 'poor dolphins'. They're just like any other animal on this planet. However extinction is another thing.
