Right now, I live in this apartment building between all these other apartment buildings so the windows are pretty close to each other. And freaking unfortunately, the apartment across us houses some promiscuous folks.
I'm not saying sex should be illegal, is immoral (before marriage, yes, but that's personal belief), or any of the negative stuff.
But people should have some freaking decency when they can't afford to shell out a hotel room for their love-making in isolation.
Their windows are wide open, and the girl sounds like she's some porn model and makes these ridiculous moaning sounds. At first, when I first moved in here, I thought someone was really in pain. I was afraid and wanted to call 911 for her. So much for my naive thinking...
And the frequency of their love-making is horrendous! Doesn't matter what time it is!
And other times, she's obnoxiously loud and whiny. She fights with her boyfriend every night and just...........
I can take the fighting. I can take the stupid whining over the phone...
BUT PLEASE, I don't need those NOISES!
But what can I say?! Please stop having sex because it's disgusting?! I can't keep people from having sex, but ergggggggggggggggg I don't know what to do.
Help me! They're going at it hardddd again and I'm traumatized.

Anyway, yeah it really crappy situation for you. I don't think you can do too much really than the other posters suggested. You can choose to ignore it, knock on the door and confront your neighbor, or just report the situation to the RA.

just write an anonymous note.. asking to please tone it down. don't beat around the bush or nothing or you won't get your point across.
and its scary to go up to them yourselves, right? so just drop an anonymous note and ask them if they could... tone down their moaning or close the windows or something.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL.
Honestly, that's what me and my roommates figured.
But anonymous note sounds nice despite the fact that they live in a completely different apartment complex and I don't even know their apartment #.
Thanks for the feedback. It's such a relief to find decency in others.

HAHAHAHA
I was drinking coffee and I almost spitted it out....
So FUNNY!!
Anyways, you should talk to them in person. If that doesn't resolve the problem, talk to APT manager. If that doesn't resolve the problem either, sue those people. o_O

HAHAHA
Well honestly, you can't say they need to go to a hotel because just like you, someone paid for that apartment and they can do whatever the hell they want in there. It is absolutely ridiculous to expect other people to spend more money just so they can do what they can do in their room for "free". That's like them asking you to buy noise canceling earphones so you don't have to hear them.
The thing is, are you okay with going to their apartment and actually asking them to stop? I'd be super embarrassed. If you can do that then do it, but I think that a post-it note might actually provoke some people to do it even more (and it might stop others it really depends on the people)

Point taken, but if they're going to be indecent with their noise level regardless of the time of the day, then yes they need to get that hotel. Apartments house many families and groups of people and for the sake of paying less than living in houses, they need to learn how to sacrifice making such noises whenever they want. Just because I'm paying for my room in my apartment, that doesn't mean I can do whatever the hell I want if I respect my roommates.
I'm probably surrounded by ten rooms and if that room is all I hear constantly then there is a problem.
I read all of your advice and I think I'm going to wait until my roommates move back in for the school year and do something together. I'd personally feel less intimidated that way. Until then... I hope they move out or something...
