I don't know if anyone knows this story, but it's incredibly sad and beautiful. I had no idea that Disney made a short clip of it.

omggg it was perfect~
everything ><
it was realllly goood, esp with the music
kinda slow, but
does it mean that she died at the end???? T_T

that was really beautiful. But man, I hate how most of Hans Christian Andersen's stories always have a sad ending.

Aaww I had this book when I was little.
The ending was beautiful.

yes, I would rather prefer a different ending.
I mean yea, no more hunger, suffer, and etc.
but... she could have enjoyed so much more out of life if PEOPLE WEREN'T SO MEAN!

^ like her Father? rolleyes.gif in the original story she stayed out in the cold cuz she was afraid of getting a whipping if she goes home w/o any money. as much as i want to criticize that night's society for being apathetic, they couldn't have saved her over and over by buying matches.

This was absolutely beautiful.
I loved the music. (I didn't watch the original one.)

I saw that on the extras of The Little Mermaid DVD. It was so incredibly sad.

oh man i read this story a few times when i was little. Its so beautiful... watching this again makes me realize how it always made me cry then x.x and its sad that there are children like her in this world...incredibly sad x.x

ZOMG. I remember this story in fourth grade. Something went in my eye that day. XP

Disney made it seem so cute... Didn't she get beaten by her parents or something? Her parents got mad at her, I think.
