I unplugged my PC and opened it.

Then, I put in a secondary 80g hard drive and another stick of ram.

Now my PC goes to the startup screen and keeps rebooting and taking me to the screen where it asks if I want to start in safe mode or whatnot. No matter what option I choose, it keeps rebooting.

Oh, and I removed the secondary hard drive and the ram stick and left everything as was before.

Now when I start it up it does the same thing, only my fan makes a loud, scary noise.

I've been screaming and crying for awhile, my fingers are sore and bleeding from screwing/unscrewing and removing/replacing stuff... my boyfriend who build the computer won't call me back because he's busy.

I'm panicking and just went at my chair with a screwdriver. >.<

Please help. Anyone have this problem before?

Its odd that it still does that after you removed the new components. My best suggestion is remove all the ram and all hard drives. Boot up the pc until it just halts/freezes. Then power it off completely (remove power cord and put back in after a couple of seconds) and put back the original ram and hard drive (not the new stuff) and hope it powers on. In worst case scenario, you may have damaged something while adding the new components (unlikely but you never know).

Yeah, I thought that maybe I damaged something, but I've solved half my problem.

I actually put in the new ram stick (I wanted both in, but obviously my computer didn't) and removed the old one and left the new hard drive out. I think I wasn't pushing it all the way in, or I was putting it in backwards.

It starts up now, yay!

But... that scary noise is still there. It's a constant loud annoying sound that is muffled when I put my hand over the fan on the side (there are three fans... one in the back, one on the side and one inside). I squirted all the fans with that air in a can in case it was suddenly dusty, but nothing changed.

I don't know how to make it stop.

maybe you need a power supply with a different rating. since original power supplies are designed to work with original computers, not modded ones.
running a second hard drive will take up power...your power supply might be working past its rating.

if u hold the fan from turning, does the noise go away
if so its probably brushing against something
try moving the blade around
