i have the 80 gb ipod classic,
and its probably one my needed necessities,
cuz music is top to me.

and its pretty new, about a month and a half old?
and wen i got it, i bought this case with it : Griffin Reflective Case

i thought it was cool and durable, and so did everyone else.
but this totally put me down.
1. it doesnt cover the scroll wheel, so i got damn scratches.
2. on the chrome back part of the ipod, some kind of residue was left behind, after i took it out, but thats okay.
but, i really don't recommend it.

and i'm willing to get a whole new case.

but i'm not sure on what to get.
and for this ipod, i'm willing to use it for a long ass time.

but i'm looking for a few things
- durability (i'm paranoid with the stuff i have, so i'm extra careful with it)
- no scratches..

and a few i've noticed.

bodyguardz vs. invisibleshield (tell me which is better)

or anything else?

i want one before june 2nd before i go on my trip.

Theres no way you can get a case for an ipod that will cover the scroll wheel.. how else are you going to use it? o_O

The case you got for it is perfect. Covers the screen/back/front but leaves all the necessary buttons open to use.

You can always get those leather cases that has a top flap.. but I find those very annoying especially when you want to quickly change the music.. You really can't do that quickly.. because you need to unflip the top and then dial necessarily. sad.gif

I thought that sometimes the Invisible Shield might leave those bubbles when you put them on? Even if you smooth it out..there might still be bubbles..
Btw, I have the Griffin Reflective Case for my 3rd Generation iPod nano..but how the heck do you get it off?
The workers at Circuit City just put the case on my iPod for me when my dad bought the case.

mine is a nano and i use the silicon biscuit cover because it's cute, hahaha. yeah, it covers the wheel and basically everything. the only problem is that it tears easily as it is so thin. so erm, i guess, silicon?

When I put mine on it there weren't any bubbles. You just have to make sure you "squeeze" it all out with a card or something similar.

Did you want a case that just prevents scratches or to help it be durable in case you drop it?

For scratches I'd definitely recommend the Invisible Shield. Not sure about the durable casing though because I've never used one myself.

Why don't you just get some of those clear stickies that protect the face from scratches?
Just stick that on your scroll and put the case on...

Weird, my case covers the scroll. It's clear and really thin so that it can still serve purpose and scroll when I touch it.

I don't think invisible shield will have bubbles because it's a thicker plastic.. but you never know, just make sure you put it on correctly.
