^ I agree, but I don't play soccer. My foot/eye coordination stinks .___.;

I'm pretty sure swimming is the best for losing weight & toning muscles since you're using your whole body and all. I play tennis and it keeps me fit[:

Playing tennis has given me thick muscular thighs. I'm not a fan of that, haha.

Basketball.

You will burn so many calories within minutes if you play a game of halfcourt basketball.

Swimming - a complete body work out.

But for me, I like more fun sports like basketball and tennis.

Doing any sport will help heaps, find yourself something you enjoy first primarily. That way motivation is secondary and getting fit is easy.

^I agree. I lose weight easily because my metabolism is really quick, but I also want to get toned. But I'm not really into sports (though I do like to watch them) so it's hard for me to get into any kind of exercise.

My mom forced me to do badminton for one summer, and it got me nice arm muscles, but my calves seemed really muscular to me afterward.

Swimming is the best. You get to use every muscle in your body when you swim, and you don't get stinky or anything no matter how long you exercise. Haha. : D

Soccer players always seem fit as hell to me. XD

I would go for swimming though, you work your whole body and then at least you don't have to be sweating in the hot sun all day.

I would say just do something that you enjoy doing. Wouldn't want the process of getting fitter to be unenjoyable.

Every kind of sport is good to burn fat in some of their own ways. If you want, go swim.
I'm currently semi hiatus at the moment due to school.

QUOTE (asianxviet @ Jun 12 2008, 10:35 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
um, just wondering but, what sport makes you healthier / fitter
faster ? i`m not fat or anything but this summer i want to get
really fit and athletic so i was wondering what sport to take up ?

umm my opinion = cross country
you run so much a day x] minimum is 3 miles. so your all motivated to really run and wake up in the morning... you just run biggrin.gif and you dont have to kick or hit a freaking ball, lol

Why cry? I'm a stronger girl now because of you. So, why cry?

i used to be in Judo and Cheerleading...
and it kept my weight at 49kg no matter how much i ate...
and I went down to46kg once.
haha...and i was tone and fit...

but i've quit judo now and still in cheerleading..
and it still keeps me fit..
i see the difference when i wasn't involved in anything early last year and this year when training begun for competition...
so yeah...but i dunno whether cheerleading is considered sports or not...
but we do work-outs after practices...so yeah..
