Okay. So I finally got my parents to agree to let up upgrade my ipod. I originally wanted the new 3rd generation iPod nano, cuz its small and cute and stuff. But my dad said that he'd rather get me an iTouch because its more functionalities and comparatively is a better bargain. After thinking it over, I think that maybe i should just get the touch, but I'm still undecided because:

- I like small cute things
- Nano has a pink version
- I mostly just listen to music
- Perfer convenient and simple navigation
- I'm bad at handling fragile things

but still, on the other hand...

- The extra functionalities are helpful
- It's touch screen and cool and all
- Can start downloading dramas to watch with a comfy sized screen
- Internet, possibly!
- I don't have a whole ton of music, and so far I only have 3 GB of music total

so... what should I get, based on my personal preferences?

And also for those ppl who already have these things, what are some good/bad qualities they have? Do both of them work equally well or...???

And of course the price. All in all, which is a wiser choice money-wise?!

touch. do the touch.

i got one for free and htought i woudln't like it compared to my classic and i actually do.
it's cool. you can change the background if you want it more feminine, its really easy to navigate (not hard at all)
and i don't think they're gonna make em anymore so, if you don't buy it now; you'll lose your chance forever

but still, on the other hand...

- The extra functionalities are helpful then go Itouch. Especially then it's jail broken. Plenty of apps to add on to it..

- Can start downloading dramas to watch with a comfy sized screen Itouch has a pretty big screen. 3.5inch i think it was. If you get nano you only get 8 hours of vid, where as itouch has 10 hrs.
- Internet, possibly!hmmmm, itouch has wifi. But wifi isn't available in my area so i find it pointless.
- I don't have a whole ton of music, and so far I only have 3 GB of music total..Dramas take up a fair but of room. and your can is the other memory for other stuff too so yea.

If you want the wifi, and the bigger screen for videos, go for the itouch, otherwise nano is a better deal for the money

if your parents are buying for you then get the touch for sure lolz.... otherwise i dont really think its worth it. iPods arent very good in general so i would suggest something else

Well being me I don't like touch that much.
Mainly becuase if you want to navigate it in your pocket and such you'll have a hard time.
But the touch screen is nice when I tried it out, and screen is bigger. And when you compare it to the ipod nano now it does have more functions and is a better buy, when you think about it.
So go for the itouch.
The nano is cute too, you can navigate easily and you can keep it in your pocket, if you do decide to get the nano just get a protective case for it.

Lol thanks for replying everyone. I got the touch in the end. And yeah, my parents are paying cuz its my birthday gift. Anywyas, so far I'm pretty happy with it. The wifi works great especially since I mostly use it at my own house. In fact, I'm replying to this using the touch right now! I've already jailbroken it and all. :] I think I've made the right decision.
