i've been working out for at least 5 times a week for the past 2 months
what i do is 45 mins to 1 hr of cardio (fast walking on treadmill/elipical) and stretching for 10 - 15 mins afterwards.
my mom told me that i've toned up a bit, and i do feel that, esp. my lower body.
but i'm still a bit uncomfortable with my thighs.
i do feel that i've lost inner thigh fat, but when i wear jeans and walk, i see that the fat still pushes back the same way as i walk (outer thighs). (i hope u guys know what i mean by that)

so what other exercises would you guys recommend to tone up my thighs a bit more??

thanks in advance to those who reply smile.gif

i say thigh is the hardest part to tone up.
I'd been doing the same thing like you.
And it's hardly showing any improvement.
Maybe more yoga & pilate.
Just gotta give it time & stick to it.
Good luck.

Yeah, thighs are definitely the hardest place to lose fat and tone.. It's frustrating. Pilates and yoga are good.. Try switching up your cardio a bit. If you add in bicycling sometimes, that should help some. The body can be annoying with the way it memorizes actions so it doesn't tone as well if you keep doing the same type of exercise day after day sleep.gif

I've also be doing a very simple exercise that seems to work in toning the outer thigh.. Just stand straight with your feet together (facing front). Kick out one leg to the side, not too quickly. Slow enough that you have control and can feel your muscles working. Repeat that however many times you want (I do 15 reps per leg and just do a lot of random sets throughout the day because I get bored quickly). Then, of course, switch legs. It's really simple but I actually saw improvement within a few weeks. Hopefully that'll work for you!

in pilates we did this killer ab and thigh workout.
i'll try to explain:

you lay flat on your back and raise your legs up straight.
than leave one leg up and do the kind of thing someone said earlier about standing and swinging one leg slowly to the side (like an L), except, of course, you're laying down. and then do that __ times on one side and switch. ( i think it only hurt really bad because you have to squeeze your abs at the same time :|)
i hope you get what i mean. im a bad explainer.

i also hear squats helped with thighs.

if you look at cross country runner's legs, they have practically no fat on their thighs. its because they run for a long time, and it didn't take 2 months to get those thighs.

give it more time?
